Nice, cosy & clean place, esp impt during this Covid-19 period. My 3rd visit so far. Good colouring & haircut service. Did 2 colourings & 1 colour touch up so far...very satisfied every time. No hard selling at all!

I have been a loyal customer ever since Zen salvaged my bad perm hair. He will start off by asking a picture of the hairstyle you want and then explains if the hairstyle is suitable for you and what he is going to do to your hair. Very detailed haircut and explanation. Ladies cut goes for $45 and he is only available by appointment.

A rare gem hidden at Hougang Heartland. Stylist Zen is passionate about delivering quality hair style with the most natural way possible, salute this spirit?? Unlike many other salons, achieving styles with chemical mostly. Stylist is an expert in hair coloring. Good wash and blow (dyson hairdryer!), beverage is served. Salon only accepts customers by appointment only, hence each customer get enough attention from the stylist. It was very satisfying experience, customers get high-end salon services at heartland's price. No hard selling product at all. Highly recommended!

Really love how the hair color turned out! Zen went through with me in detail how to achieve the colour that I had in mind and also gave very good recommendations and tips on how to care for the colour. A super big plus point as there isn't any hard selling and it was a very nice cosy environment. As they only accept by appointment only, Zen and his assistant was able to put the attention on their customers.

Zen and partner provides a great personal touch. They are really professional and not intrusive - no hard selling at all which is a big plus. I enjoyed my time in their salon and I love my new hair cut. ◡̈ I look forward to visiting again!

Zen and Vila respectively worked on cutting and dyeing my hair from messy black hair to neat, glamorous ashy grey hair. my hair is super thick and coarse but the dye job turned out so nicely done, ended up so smooth. they also seem to constantly keep up such a positive, friendly attitude to every customer for the entire time i was there! love my hair so much, thank you both!

I’ve gone to many salons wanting to get a nice short haircut for many years. My Friend introduced by me to Manemade studio and I went forth with no expectations. My first experience with them was a great one- from the time I entered the salon at Midtown, the feeling was indeed Zen (hair stylist is also called Zen). It was a private and chill environment that allowed customers to feel comfortable sitting there for a haircut. His partner offers a pleasant experience even to the tea that they served me. Zen is a genuine hairstylist who will give advice that is individualised to a person’s Face shape and character. He will try to understand what kind of style his customers are looking for, and whether they are willing to explore a different style. His hair dye quality is very good, didn’t make my hair as dry as the other salons I went to (those big reputable ones). Most importantly, Zen has a passion for hair cutting, from the scissors to the products to the hairdryer, everything must be done to his standard. A haircut can take 1.5-2hrs because Zen makes every effort to shape it again and again till perfection. My advice is to look for him with an open heart when you need a fresh advice for your new haircut! ;) Small little things count and that’s why I’m coming back to him again.

Found this gem of a salon by chance during the circuit breaker and I've been back 4 times since. I was surprised by the skill level especially in a heartland setting where its often more about price than quality. Zen and his wife know their stuff and you get due attention—they don't multi-task or overbook but it also means you need to book in advance! Every time I cut my hair there, someone tells me I look younger (yay!). God knows I've searched high and low for a good hairstylist and I can go on and on about how happy i am to have found them
