★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Onsen egg on top of your usual bak chor mee! Pretty good!
The handmade fishball were soft and tender unlike the usual ones we used to eat, which tasted really nice.
Didn't like the chilli as much, it has a certain taste which I can't tell what it was.
Overall, nice ball of noodles at Whampoa Market!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time try out this store. Unfortunately I have to rate it 3. Not much taste for the noodle, quite blend. But fish ball was excellent, believed is handmade and very soft. Staff are friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a craving for their noodles with handmade yellow tail fish balls, but when I arrived, Eric asked me to try their new item : Laksa.. Reluctant at first but glad I went for it .. lovely fish cakes, a fishball , meat ball & fresh yummy sea hum that’s not overcooked in a thick lemak gravy … definitely worth recommending

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Matasoh laksa is a must try. Gravy was cooked to perfection and goes really well the chilli.
Matasoh's signature is awesome as well . Noodle texture was really smooth and well-cooked. Together with the onsen egg, it brings the taste to the next level of deliciousness.
Both dishes come with their fish balls and meatballs which are 100% freshly handmade. It's a must try for sure!
Definitely will come back again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Handmade Fishballs are soft on the palate. Chilli has prawn shrimp paste mixed in. Dry version comes with the onsen egg, when mixed with the noodles, gives it a thicker texture. If you like Fishballs that have the Q bite, this may not be for you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried this stall at whampo food centre that sells fishball noodle. Came here a few times and have plans to try. Came here for lunch and decided to try their food. Noodle starts from SGD$4 onwards. I had menu item no.1, soh special which was SGD$4.50.
The noodle comes with homemade fishball, meatball, fishcake and was topped with a onsen egg. The staff instructed me to mix everything together to have the best experience.
Noodle was nicely cooked, chilli was pretty good but something just missing in terms of taste. Perhaps a little more vinegar or lard. Homemade fishball and meatball were tasty and soft. Overall, its a pretty decent bowl of fishball noodle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered their signature onsen noodles and the huatiao meesua soup, also serve with onsen egg. Noodles were qq and the handmade fishball and meatballs were very nice and soft ! Mix everything in with the onsen egg and the mixture is superb.
As for the huatiao meesua soup…you gotta try it! I’ve not taste anything like this before, looks simple but the huatiao is not too strong yet it’s a really good comforting soup (esp on a rainy day). Loads of ingredients too.
Laksa was already sold out. Hope to try it next time.
Will come back again! Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decided to try this stall as i was passing by and curious of how onsen egg with noodles will taste, And it was great!
Noodles are perfectly Al Dente, Chilli sauce is very good, fish balls are tasty and pretty soft. Though I prefer fishballs to be more firm, still it's good.
Uncle who manned the stall is very friendly.
Will return again to try other noodles.
