Mian Jia is quite a hip looking Chinese noodle house and it is a great place to have affordable noodles at Holland Village. Their dry chicken cutlet and pork cutlet noodles hits the spot with that strong umami taste. However, the chicken cutlet was definitely more juicy and well cooked than the pork cutlet, which came out a little too hard and dry for my liking. The spicy dumpling noodles is also a good choice for those who like a good punch of vinegar in their noodle sauce. I think the spicy dumpling side dish can be more reasonably priced. While the dumplings are tasty, itโ€™s $6 for 3 pcs of dumplings! We also did not like the chicken wings. They were too dry and not very well seasoned. The wings were also torn apart in a strange way and fried. Although their sides are a bit of a let down, their homemade ice lemon tea is fantastic, especially on a hot day. Service staff is an old lady who is very warm and friendly, she made our experience very pleasant.

We got the pickled veggie fish tonkatsu and spicy chicken cutlet noodle. Neither were spicy at all. The broth was nice and chicken was fried well. Portion sizes are reasonable. Nothing outstanding though A bit overpriced for what it is.

When I stepped in, I was greeted with a sensational fragrance of the broth. My stomach rumbled and my gut told me Iโ€™m going to enjoy this meal. We ordered the dry noodle with stewed iberico pork with special sauce, trio supreme broth dry noodle with special sauce and a five spice crispy pork. The noodles were spot on. Done to perfection and lathered in that special sauce which is to die for. If they served rice I wouldโ€™ve ordered a bowl of rice with the sauce as well! The broth was so fragrant and savoury! Both soups struck a great balance of thickness, fragrance and taste. The pork chop was crispy and yummy up to the very last bite. You can forget your usual noodle houses that you frequent and give this Mian Jia a chance to prove that there is always something better out there!

Amazing quality noodle, soup and wonton. When I got there it was 10min after the restaurant was closed but they let me order and eat at the outside table. Staff was fantastic. Will come back and try their lobster noodle next time. Guys thanks again.

Portions here are huge. We didn't try the special soup but the tonkatsu broth was satisfying enough. The star is really the noodles (mixian) - to us the dry noodles stood out. Springy, bouncy, good bite - not overpowered by the sauce. The fish slices in the salted veggie soup were thick and plentiful, our baby absolutely loved the fish! Service was great, we were readily provided with a child seat and utensils. Worth the price paid.

We got the Trio Treasure Supreme Broth & Crispy Chicken cutlet with dry noodles. I was expecting the broth to be a little heartier or richer. It was a little light and didnโ€™t quite coat your tongue like most places Iโ€™ve tried. The noodles were cooked to perfection though. Nice and springy with a little bite. We got the gold crispy shrimp cutlet as a side dish too. This was really good. It was light and crispy on the outside but nice and chewy on the inside. Came with mayonnaise for dipping. Decent food to get on a cold rainy day.

Really enjoyed the food at this noodle bar ? came at 7pm with my friends and we ordered tonkatsu broth noodles, dried noodles with fried pork and fried chicken. We ordered fried shrimp as a side too. I preferred the dried noodles as they were tastier and value for money. Will definitely visit again!
