★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very reasonable price japanese food. All is good except the meat croquettes which could have been marinated with stronger flavor. Six good size of dishes (2 to 3 pax) with a bottle of 720 ml japenese sake (itself is $105) costs only $208. Most impressive is fried chicken with special toppings and grilled fish. The restaurant manager cum chef Mr. Hirofumi Kuwabara, who has been in Singapore since 2014, is a very polite and humble person who make you feel at home. Worth trying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting menu to entice you even though there aren't too many dishes offered. Check with the staff for recommendation. Check with the staff if you can order the popular dishes in advance as we missed out a few. Thoroughly enjoy the small side dishes and squid with Wasabi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small restaurant but great food. Never had a dull moment for our palate. Ordered both the standard as well as seasonal dishes. We had chicken nanban and japanese Wagyu steak from the usual menu. There’s the 3 kind sashimi(sea bream, sea bass and octopus), eihere(grilled stingray fins) and yaki soba from the seasonal menu. For dessert, we had the tofu Blanc - manger. Had the calpis sour and yuzu sake for drinks, which went very well with the food. Great place for dinner.
Just wana dispute some previous reviews that I read before I visited mikoto. The food were in the usual Japanese portion; just right for sharing and you can order more dishes to try. Enjoy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Won’t come again.. i think the boss might have changed or something, food does not match the past reviews… sashimi soso.. drinks cannot taste any alcohol.. kushikatsu fried lightly so the batter is not crispy… waiting staff not interested in taking orders.. menu for kushikatsu taken away very early which means the menu is very limited.. the only guy working hard is the chef… kudos to the busy chef. but for the price… better to go elsewhere..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visit this Izakaya owned by a Japanese boss on my birthday. The food and atmosphere are nice. The boss and staff are very friendly as well. The boss offered us a glass of champagne for his birthday and got a surprise cake from boss for mine birthday? This place brings me back to the time I was in Japan. Will definitely visit again.
