This is a review for coronation plaza branch. Please stay away for a sake of your kids! These people kill creativity and inspiration. My daughter got bored during a class and a teacher was absolutely unable to handle her. She disciplined her rudely and traumatised. A school manager handled this situation in a strange way, she requested us to accompany my daughter and we are lucky we did -because we realised how boring a class was, not engaging at all. A teacher and a school manager could not care less about a way we felt! When we called a manager of a school, she hung up (!) Don’t be misled if they are nice to you when you buy a small package of four lessons, we did that and my daughter used to like it back then. But once we bought a big package, their attitude changed completely. First they try to treat you nicely because you are a new customer, but once you get into a package of 12 classes , forget it. Very bad.

Overall, an experience that is quite disappointing. The teacher was not really engaged and after 4 classes, I had to seek her time to ask for feedback about my child’s learning. And the feedback shared was all about the child not knowing this and that technique which I wonder was a strange way of providing feedback to parents given that you are sending your child for classes with the exact reason for enabling the child to learn the art techniques over time. In addition, during one of the classes, my child had even shared how two teachers had differing views on how her art piece was.. one teacher said good and after minutes later, another teacher who was helping out the class told her that her art piece was not well done, confusing the child as to how she can bring her art piece forward. With disengaged Teachers, sending my child into classes went on weekly without having as much a hello from the Teachers nor a goodbye! Without wanting to dampen my child’s passion for art, decided best way forward was to then look for more positive art teachers who care. Hope this review helps parents who are on the lookout for more positive art schools who are more passionate about teaching rather than just ensuring that the child returns with a ‘nice piece of art’ (which we later found out the Teachers had helped painted quite a bit of my child’s art works.. a false perception that the child was really learning and drawing well?!)
