Great place; excellent service & weekly-updated flux of books at great values! Amazing!

Quaint little second bookstore with a friendly old uncle manning it. Visited due to its impending closure in Sep 2022.

Book rental (eg. $3 upwards but you've to pay a deposit first) come 2nd hand book store that has YA fiction, adult fiction and some non fiction. The majority of the materials are in English.

I've been going to this shop for over 20 years, and i keep going back because they always have BRAND NEW copies of the hottest/trending books at ~20% cheaper than the larger bookstore chains! What's even better? When you've finished the book you can keep the book, OR return it to the shop and get back a good portion of what you paid (and keep your home clutter free at the same time). Super recommend!!!

Really one of the most amazing secondhand bookshops in Singapore! Love this so much! Please don’t disappear!

Heard from the owner that this shop will be closing down in a few months' time due to escalating rent. Have been patronising for nearly 2 decades, will miss it. They are clearing stock. Ex-rental books are being sold at 3 for S$10. The boss was kind and I got 4 (including a children's book) for S$10. Alas most of the popular titles were gone by the time i was there, but still worth a visit if you are into books (or memories for that matter).

Such an old-sch place with nostalgic vibes at every turn! I felt like I returned to the 80s at Beauty World Centre where the book store is located at level 3. We went there on a weekday afternoon and the little store was quite crowded. Heard a few regulars came by to ask uncle to titles like “Harry porter the 6th book”. Uncle looked like he can’t speak English but I remember days of “San Bookshop” where the owners are effectively bilingual. True enough, Uncle’s English was perfect and he knew every book or title; whether he has it or not. We asked for Scythe by Neal Shusterman - “Uncle you have book 1?” “Oh, no more already, loaned out.” Felt abit sad when uncle stamped a due date on the sheet in front of the book. He said ignore the date, as long as you return in the month of April is fine. Wish there were more books I could buy to support him but this trip, I only spent $25! Looks like alot of clearance books have already been snapped up. It’s a pity that it’s closing in September 2022 for good so quickly go down and support the uncle before it closes for good! Note: we went down on a Monday and they were closed! So we made another trip down on Tuesday. Take note that they closed on Mondays!
