Mookata Lor!

Was cycling casually with buddies till we were so hungry, we decided to stop for food at this industrial coffee shop. After reckying all the fancies big signboard, we decided to settle with this Smallest signboard that says “Mookata Lor” since we havnt had Mookata for quite awhile. And also like their “Singlish Thai” signboard name. And tell you what.. Their ingredients had caught me by surprise. - Their Prawns & Scallops were so fresh, so fresh like it’s straight from the sea. Giant Scallop were bigger than our old sg 50 cents coin. - I personally do not like pork alot due to the pork smell but trust me, I had so much pork than I could imagine here. - Chicken were well marinated & savory. Tender & Juicy. - Beef is Goooood. I cant have enough of it. OMG I’m hungry again writing this review. - Soup base was FANTASTIC. Well broth with tint of sweetness. Unlike many stalls we went, starts with plain water. - Mookata cant go without condiments. They provides 3 different type of dips or you could create your own. Thai dip is good, goes well with everything. Traditional mince garlic chilli padi with parsley, my favourite. Another was abit sweet, mild spicy perfect for non spicy takers. Gosh, spoilt for choices. - Last thing I would like to emphasis is the price. All 3 of us had satisfied tummies at just less than 50 dollars. We had a GREAT time GREAT meal at Mookata Lor yesterday evening. I had it pinned and will DEFINITELY visit again. A GEM we accidentally found. Dont wait. Bring your whole family there now.

This is almost the best mookata I have ever had! Food is fresh, marination is awesome, service is great and most important thing is chilli 一级棒! Their boss only serve the best quality of food! And I have to say their staff super friendly! What’s most important? The bill is super pocket friendly also. This is a must try and to die for mookata! ???

Definitely a worth a visit to Mookata Lor! The ingredients especially the meat were of good quality and really well seasoned. And can i say, the soup was amazing, its the first time that I did not add the maggi seasoning into the soup as the soup base on its own tasted so good I did not want to ruin it. Furthermore, everything is very affordable and I do seeing myself making frequent trips to my new mookata hideout!

The meat here is AMAZING!!! So well marinated and tender. The mookata here is so affordable and came to about $10/pax and I ate till I was so full. In terms of value for money, taste and service speed, its a full 5 stars. In fact, the only reason why I dont have a photo is because the food was so delicious everything was gone in my tummy alr haha

Nice food with good dipping sauces but setting in an industrial park canteen or food centre is not very condusive as it gets pretty hot & sweaty which is actually how it should be but may not be very well received by people here.

Ordered the set for 4 which is about $40+ The meats are well marinated but I find the greens are lacking but add a veg set ard $4+. The condiments are standard. The setup is in coffeeshop in the light industrial area vicinity. There are many stalls to add on to mookata. I liked the vibes due to the music and the young crowd. However not all the fans are working so try to find near it or else you find yourself perspiring while eating mookata

Soup is yummy. Meat is well marinated. Prawn is fresh, scallop is big and delicious. Overall is good. Worth the try. Will definitely come back again.

We were stuck at Toa Payoh Industrial Park due to sudden heavy rain so decided to have dinner at nearby coffeeshop. Surprised by the many stalls still open at this hour in this area; we decided to have mookata since perfect weather to eat something hot. Wow!!! No regrets! Not only the seafood was fresh, everything was tasty. More importantly, I don't feel thirsty. Best experience was the stall owner cook and guide us when I asked him how and what I should cook first as I've never tried mookata. Despite the heavy rain, it was a perfect evening with great discovery, yummy Mookata Lor!!! I will definitely be back again. ?
