Nana Thai restaurant - Far East plaza 04-22

I’ve eaten here a few times (lvl 4) and while the service is sub-par at best, never have I seen such discrimination happen like today. My Chinese friend called in on Monday to reserve but was told no reservation and to walk in and hung up the phone before my friend could say anything else. As she arrived earlier today than me she went to the restaurant to queue and found out that most of the tables were reserved for muslims to break fast. A female staff told my friend that reservation was prioritised for muslims but my friend explained she was having dinner with me and I need to break fast. She was told that she should’ve booked but she told them what the male staff had told her over the phone. The lady was kind enough to provide an available table to my friend and told her to place order first but the male staff at the front desk was very rude and commented something rudely behind her back. When my friend was seated the other staff stared at her unhappily and when she tried to order, she was ignored by them. Eventually I told her to leave and we went elsewhere to break fast. Even if there were no available tables, we would appreciate it if the staff were more polite about it. We would understand and would have gone to find somewhere else to eat. An example of good customer service would be from the restaurant above nana Thai, who informed us apologetically that all tables were reserved. Instead, nana Thai’s staff were rude and passive aggressive to my friend, and it was saddening to experience this during Ramadan. The male staff at the front didn’t have to comment unhappily in malay, knowing full well my friend couldn’t understand him; it was not gracious of him at all. I hope the owner of the restaurant were to take this feedback graciously and improve the customer service of the staff. I don’t know if I will come back again to patronise the restaurant, but I do hope no one else will experience such horrible service like what my friend did.

Food looks good but the flavor is just bland. Something is missing but I can't explain what it is. Feels like a mix between Singapore cuisine & Thai cuisine. I wouldn't really recommend this place to people who are looking for authentic Thai food experience.

Pretty good but the milk tea was just meh

This place serves delicious Thai cuisine. Service staffs are courteous and friendly.

Decent Halal Thai food restaurant at affordable price. Food were very tasty and you will get a generous portions for each plate, excellent for sharing. Stir Fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts was delicious. It's a dish packed with tender chicken pieces and toasted cashew nuts coated with their sauces. It's a dish we wouldn't miss to order whenever we are here. Stir Fried Kailan with Oyster Sauce was not too bad. The Kailan was infused with oyster sauce, was flavorful, fresh and crunchy. Thai Mango Salad had a crunchy and nutty taste. Awesome mixture with the right sweetness to it. Simple yet addictive Thai dish that you will order whenever you go to a Thai restaurant. Curry Fish Head had a thick and luscious curry flavor, good to go with the steamed white rice. Fish and vegetables were fresh and fish meat was tender enough, not overly cooked. Their Dry Chilli Cuttlefish was nice too, quite similar to Chinese style sambal sotong. Very chewy and spicy. Overall very satisfied with their service and food quality. We will definitely will return back to the restaurant again.

Tom yum soup is very tasty. I enjoyed the horfun, smooth gravy and portion is just right. Fried beef kway teow taste yummy too. Overall experience is good.

Service is lousy. Chinese staff insist elderly use phone to order. Only the chubby Thai male staff is helpful. Food is good.

Impromptu visit at this restaurant. Sunday lunch quite crowded. Food price reasonable. Portion is good too. Must try will be the grilled chicken whole. Only downside is the floor is too oily
