โ โ โ โ โ Feedback for nanny candy
Cons
1. Can come across as controlling, demanding, territorial, and straightforward (sometimes borderline rude).
>> She gets comfortable very quickly and talks like she's ordering you around. Thats just her personality. There was once she cooked noodles and my husband walked into the kitchen to take vinegar and she raised her voice and said "no you don't take! You try my food first! Not enough then add". We were really taken aback.
>> Another time, end of 1st week, my husband wanted to try to feed the baby and she went "you want to feed the baby? No no no! Still too early" It felt like she was controlling our access to baby at times.
2. When we ask her questions as clueless 1st time parents with the sole intention of learning, like "how much milk did baby drink for his last feed" or "how much BM to FM ratio to feed him?" she shared that she felt like we were questioning her or doubting her work. It was tough to ask her things subsequently as we were afraid she might take it to mean we didn't trust her. Having to tiptoe around her made the confinement experience quite unpleasant.
3. She is not very good at adapting and accommodating to different family's style and preferences, as well as different mother's needs.
>> There's no one size fits all for confinement. Some mummies can take the heaty food she makes, some mummies cannot. I happen to have a heaty constitution so i had sore throat and felt unwell within the 1st week of eating her food. I feedback to her to reduce heaty ingredients temporarily but her reaction was to tell me the problem didnt lie with her food and that it was my body. Even told me to do TCM to tune my body. I know she meant well, but it can make mummies feel like it's their fault for how their body is. No one chooses to have a heaty constitution. What would be good was if she could focus on what can be changed instead - like the ingredients she used. And not keep harping on what cant be changed - like mummy's constitution at that pt in time.
4. Things have to be done her way. She told us "this 28 days u follow my schedule! You don't give me schedule to follow". To clarify, we didn't give her any schedule to follow.
5. Not sensitive in reading the room. EQ not the highest. She's definitely not the kind of nanny that thinks before she speaks.
>>For eg, she made unhelpful and insensitive comments like "Mummy not enough milk thats why need to top up with formula" >> can make mummies feel demoralised and it is quite discouraging for their breastfeeding journey (esp since mummies are so new to this + it may take awhile for supply to kick in/build up).
6. When feedback is given to her, her initial reaction is always one of defensiveness.
>> For eg, when we noticed she didn't dry the bowls before keeping them in the drawer, we dried it ourselves and feedback to her to dry it before keeping otherwise the wood in the drawer might spoil. She told us "don't dry the bowls infront of me! I don't like it. This is my job."
Pros
- holds herself to high standards of work when it comes to cooking and taking care of the baby; dutiful
- Recommends products that are good for baby
Honestly she does her core work well. EQ aside, her work is objectively good. So if you're a mother with low needs when it comes to sensitivity (ie can ignore her occasional curt comments and bossy attitude), can consider her!
That said, the above is a personal experience. Everyone will have a different experience even with the exact same nanny!
Note: we had to terminate her 12 days in due to the unpleasant experience. We chose not to have a replacement nanny.

โ โ โ โ โ We would like to thanks Auntie Lee Lee for taking good care of our baby. She will always monitor baby condition and get back to us immediately. She is great at cooking and will teach us the recipe as well. We love her homemade "Lo Mai Gai". She is easygoing and will share us her own experience. Thank you and all the best to Aunty Lee Lee.

โ โ โ โ โ I am thankful that Auntie Agnes came to help me during the confinement. She is definitely experienced from how she took care of my son, from the way she feeds him, bathe him and talks to him :) I trust her so much that I can take naps to recuperate or leave the house for medical checkups. She has a lot of initiative and she is also a great cook! I never had a repeat lunch or dinner throughout my entire 28 days! Her afternoon desserts are also yummy and we always look forward to it. Really appreciate the time that she is here and will recommend her to anyone who is looking for a confinement nanny!
Juztin is also great where he is quick to reply email and WhatsApp on any queries that mummies have. Definitely a good experience with NannySOS and will choose them over other confinement agencies!

โ โ โ โ โ Engaged NannySOS for my confinement last month. Although I delivered early, Juztin managed to arrange for a standing nanny to help out for the first 10 days before my assigned nanny finish her previous job. And it turns out really great as Nanny May is so good with the baby that I only need to focus on recovering. She is very organised in her work and she is a great cook. I would have preferred she stay with me throughout the confinement but I think she has a job immediately after me. Am glad she can even help me out for the first 10 days which is most crucial for recovery. Thank you Juztin and Nanny May!

โ โ โ โ โ NannySoS is really a godsend. This is my 2nd time engaging them for my confinement. I was going to hire my previous nanny but unfortunately, 2 weeks before my birth, the previous nanny was ill and could not come. Thankfully Juztin reassured me that he will provide another nanny. And he did.
The nanny provided was also wonderful. Aunt Lay Chu is such a diligent and caring auntie. She takes precedent in taking care of baby and cooking delicious meals for me so that I can recuperate. She is also very tidy, cleaning up after cooking every meal.
Aunt Lay Chu is very responsible, she makes sure everything is done before she takes a break. It was really enjoyable to have her in the house. She will share her experiences with us, so that we can better manage baby when she was about to go back.
I highly recommend Juztin and Aunt Lay Chu from NannySos. I feel so reassured with my confinement arrangement with them .

โ โ โ โ โ This is the first time we engaged NannySOS for confinement services, Nanny Kwan Fong was assigned to us. She is a great help during my recovery,ย she takes good care of baby, keeps the house clean, cooks well and even plays with my elder child while I am nursing the baby. We will definitely miss her.

โ โ โ โ โ Thank you Nanny SOS for ้ฟๅโs confinement service.
Special thanks also to Juztin for accommodating babyโs unexpected early arrival.
Daddy and I were able to rest well. ้ฟๅwas very careful with handling our preemie, took good care of baby and mummy, and very proactive with house chores.
She also cooked very delicious and nourishing meals throughout my confinement period.
Would highly recommend Nanny SOS and would love to engage ้ฟๅagain for our next pregnancy.
