Excellent food

Every time I wants to order sambal goreng set. They say have to ala carte. Maybe because I am Chinese.

super pricey! Only 2 ingredient, & potato is so little it’s priced at $6! I see other Malays ordering is so much cheaper w more ingredients. Differential treatment & pricing

Tried this neighbourhood Nasi Padang stall for lunch on Friday. The queue was quite long but probably cos the staff was preparing the rice. Ordered an Ayam goreng, tahu goreng, tempeh and onion omelette. The food was pretty good. The chicken was tasty, very tender and the sauce had a nice marinate. Tempeh was cut in generous chunks that were good to bite on. The chilli given was the right spiciness for me too. Will be back to try other dishes that they have and also the comfort food available like mee rebus. Price is the standard for a Nasi Padang stall, around $7 for my meal each plate.

Was around the area and it is lunch time after all so ended at this coffeeshop. Scouted around and found this 1 stall selling Nasi Padang. It's tucked in a what seems to be a rather tight coffeeshop that serves coffee or tea in tiny cups. BTW saw some of the reviews about the Nasi sambal goreng and yes, there isn't any. So, I don't think it's right to call the out being racist just because the aren't serving Nasi sets. However, it's not right either to advertise what you don't have. Anyways, back to my order had a few side dishes and no meats and mine cost $6.50. Heres a bit of an estimated generic breakdown Meat / Seafood $3.50, Rice $1.00, Side $1.00. I had a few sides so I guess it does work out to $6.50. A bit expensive but well, it is what it is. Taste, it actually doesn't taste bad. In fact its on the good side. Enough flavouring and heat which I like. And the ladies are nice too. So credit where its due. All in all, is it a go to place, not really.
