I am using Neuron Mobility in Melbourne, Australia and the scooters have a speed limitation here of 20km/h in the CBD and Inner-east Melbourne. Essentially, if you are riding on a bike path and you are going downhill, no one else is around (pedestrians/bicycles), phantom breaking occurs for safety reasons which slow the scooter down to 16km/h. In some instances, this can also be dangerous when travelling in a bike lane that shares the same space as cars (an example would be 'Swan Street', the coordinates are: 37°49'26.0"S 144°58'57.4"E) As you can imagine, this is incredibly frustrating and I note the attached photo/response from the Neuron Mobility team which confirms the phantom breaking and speed limitations. The conclusion is if you are looking for convenience and don't mind the occasional phantom breaking and you are interested in travelling at a jogging pace into the office (15-20km/h), then Neuron Mobility is for you. Also, I would recommend the monthly pass which is AUD$99/month and grants you access to 90-minutes of daily use. If you prefer to maintain a constant speed of 20-25km/h and above, then I would recommend you purchase your own electric scooter for AUD$600-800. Many companies send you a free wheel replacement if you happen to puncture your tyre.

Tried two fully charged in Canberra but it wasn't working and they charged me for something I haven't even used and even after reporting and writing an email to them they decided to ignore my email and not refund my money back

Infuriating!!!!!!!!!!! A few times recently we have tried to hire scooters but all of the ones we spot are unavailable! On Saturday we spotted approx 8 scooters in the city of melbourne on the way to Port melbourne and they were all unusable! So annoying, we had to walk home. Funny how efficient the system is when you renew my membership and take the money but useless keeping the scooters available and ready to use!!!

Pretty enjoyed my first short trip to the uni, so decided to do it again. It was fun, convenient a bit pricey but I only spend around $5 for a short trip so it is still acceptable. Not sure if I missed it but I didn't know about their service zone thing, I ended up just outside of the zone So there is my problems come, apparently the zone cut somewhere in the highway which meant I have to brought a heavy electrical bike through the traffic back to the highway. There was no crossing light or paths for pedestrians so I crossed hoping that I didn't get hit. I also have to check my phone constantly to know where I am heading to so there was me in the traffic worrying and praying. The bike ended up on Tiger Brennan Dr, in a bush ( very sorry) but as I still traumatised from the experience I probably just use my bare feet or the bus next time, so 3 stars for them. The bright side is that they didn't charge me for the extra time I tried to put the bike back. Wonder why don't they do the from.. to ... thing like google/uber with the money calculated and time and any problems that might occur
