★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered $5 portion. Came with 3 prawns and a few sotong. Hokkien mee was the wet creamy kind. Light wok hei detected. Can’t taste the prawn stock. Tasted more like char mee.

Ordered a plate of prawn mee medium size and it arrived with what can best be described as a plate of basic fried beehoon mee. Nary a taste of prawn stock, wok hei and even the pork lard bits were missing the crunchy porcine flavour. Yes the Chili was spicy but there are so many alternatives with spicy chili to begin with.
In short, do yourself a favour and skip this one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fried Hokkien Lala Noodles. Found another Hokkien mee stall that allows adding of Oysters or Lala and wanted to see if the additional Lala would give my noodles a more sweeten sea taste. Well, not really but the Hokkien mee is decent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was hungry for lunch and craved noodles! They are at newton hawker centre, facing the main courtyard. I like the way it was fried as it’s not too wet and the Hokkien mee and bee Hoon blends well. Wok hey was evident and loved it. Chilli was a highlight and would come back. Friendly service and can get very busy during evenings!
