β β β β β First wagyu sashimi experience and was felt very satisfied!
Classic modern Japanese restaurant wood decor and countertop design almost makes you feel transported into a small corner of Japan.
Ordered the Katsumata course, assorted chef's A4 wagyu special along with yuzu umeshi and kyoho grape liqueur at the recommendation of the chef.
The simmered beef soup warmed my heart right at the start while the beef sashimi sushi and tartare have me a whole new insight into how good raw beef could taste.
The enticing aroma of grilling even made me forget to take photos of the yakiniku platter!
The smoke from yakiniku smelled sweetened and pleasant intead of oily perhaps because of the crystal plate and lack of any cooking oils.
Shout-out to their sweet homemade custom pineapple-pear-apple sauce that went great with some of meat cuts.

β β β β β Visited the restaurant on Christmas evening and the place was bustling with noise. Cozy ambience with sufficient space between diners.
Service staff were very polite, prompt and were equip with basic knowledge of the menu and the cuts of meats. We ordered the Ebsiu course ($148 for 9 dishes). The meal were prepared right at the counter and served by the chef.
The duck breast was torched to release the fats, which resulted in a smoky taste. The wagyu tendon that was simmering in the pot was so tender that it fell apart as I tried to pick it up. The soup was full-bodied, and full of flavors.
The homemade kimchi that was served was insanely delicious. The right amount of spice and tang to cut through taste of the meats. Not pictured is their homemade sauce that consist of miso, onion, ginger, and other ingredients that I did not manage to catch. It complemented well with the meat and was really delicious. My partner almost finished the sauce on its own!
The sashimi was fresh, the Caesar salad was simple but delicious. The yakiniku was done on a crystal grill on low temperature. Me and my partner both opted for medium rare. The meat are on the leaner side but still retain that clean beef taste.
Could not really taste the truffle oil in the sukiyaki dip with the yolk, but was still good nonetheless. The warabi mochi was super soft and took no effort to chew.
Overall a really good meal, I would recommend if you would like to try leaner cuts of beef as compared to other places who do more fatty pieces.

β β β β β Went on weekday evening night with reservation made at 6pm. Promptly seated.
Restaurant isn't big, there's more personal touch. For weekday night it's considered pretty crowded. Kyoho grape liqueur and yuzu umeshu not too heavy and smooth to go down. More photos and A4 Wagyu Beef types in photos. ?
Location - From observation, most regulars drive but it's 10-12 mins walk from Outram Park train station. Not sheltered so beware of dark clouds
Food - Absolutely enjoyable. The A4 Wagyu tartare and A4 Wagyu marble beef my personal fave. The rest are very decent too.
Price - On the steeper side but you pay for high quality food and service
Service - Came in and served with hot towel. Staff amiable and cooked for us explaining to us the type of meat. ????

β β β β β Heard of this restaurant when they were previously having their 1 for 1 drinks promotion in October in celebration of their anniversary and decided to give it a shot recently and did not regret it at all! Shared a katsumata (7 dishes) and a ebisu course (9 dishes) between two of us and it was a perfect mix of meat dishes and I liked that the meat were not too fatty as well. The restaurant is on ChopeDeals as well and you will be able to enjoy a 25% discount for any Chope voucher purchase in advance.

β β β β β Tried the 7 course and 9 course. The portions were good for 2 and you get a split of everything equally so you really get to try everything.
The beef broth for the starter was so surprisingly good. Could probably give the beef sashimi and tartare a miss if youβre not having the course, nothing much to shout about.
All the beef though. SO GOOD AND YUMMY. a good selection of all the cuts so you donβt get overwhelmed by all the fatty bits.
They also served salad and sides to cut through all the meat taste. Ended the course with rice dishes so you will still get some carbs. And of course desserts!
We also got vouchers from chope so thatβs 25% off, recommended.

β β β β β Unique experience. Itβs not all about fatty oily super rich wagyu. So if thatβs your jam, this may not be your thing. We were able to try everything from leaner cuts to fatty ones and beef sashimi as well, and appreciate them all. They cook their meats on a crystal plate instead of over charcoal, so itβs juicier and surprisingly the lean cuts donβt stick. You experience everything from chewy to melt in your mouth to tender to bouncy depending on the cut. With the different cuts, youβre recommended different condiments to pair the meat with. Lemon, or smoked salt or sauce. Itβs not cheap (but also cheaper than most Japanese omakases), but youβre really paying for the quality of the meat. I especially loved the beef sukiyaki bowl and the donburi with broth.
The staff are also very sweet and attentive.

β β β β β If youβre wondering if you should try this place, go ahead and make a booking - you can get 25% off on vouchers on Chope too.
Ordered the Ebisu Course (9 courses for $149). It starts off slow with the beef tendon soup, then comes around strong with Wagyu sashimi - raw beef sashimi/sushi with Uni and caviar. If you havenβt had raw beef before, itβs worth the try. Wish there was liver sashimi tho!
Sure, grilling on a crystal is cool, but the cuts of meat used was the star of the show. Itβs wagyu, but itβs not overly rich. We especially enjoyed the tenderloin (which they saved for last).
Finished off with the choice of wagyu curry rice, chicken soba or the wagyu donburi. We had the curry and the donburi - both were amazing, but if I had to choose one, itβd be the donburi.
The service staff are attentive and well-mannered, and we had a great time. Meal took about an hour and fifteen minutes from start to finish - perfectly timed for us.

β β β β β Good quality beef. Counter/table services to bbq your meat on the crystal plate for you. Pretty smokeless.
Very good service. They will inform you which sauce/condiment to use for which meat.
