Food was good! I think about half were great and special, while the rest was nice but not wow. Overall still a great experience!! staff was attentive and chef was friendly and nice! definitely get the counter seat for the true omakase experience :-)

We chose the Hiro set (SGD 168) and are really impressed by the freshness of ingredients and chef's creativity. The only disappointment is that we didn't get to sit at the sushi bar and interact with the chef at all. Perhaps because we didn't not opt for the most expensive set? Instead, dishes were brought to our table by waitresses.

Omakase experience was a 7/10, but staff services and friendly chef made the place a very friendly environment and would definitely come back again for the friendliness environment

We went as a group on a Saturday and the very friendly Malaysian head chef was engaging throughout the course of the meal. Food-wise, appetisers were alright, nothing notable and the second veggie dish puzzled me a little. But when it came to the sushi, they were delicious! The yam ice cream at the end was a nice touch - it tasted a bit like iced orh nee - and the chef was nice enough to offer our group seconds. I don't want to say affordable because they have already increased their prices from $88 to $98++ for a basic lunch omakase with 10 pieces of sushi. But it's definitely very value for money. Oh, also, because there were no second seatings, we were able to take our time to enjoy each course slowly! We came at 12.30pm and left close to 3.30pm. LOVED the ambience, chats, and good fun, which made the whole experience wonderful. It's now one of our group's go-to omakase place. I'll be back in a month's time. If you want a no-frills, chilled-vibes place with good sushi, then give this place a go!

loveliest saturday lunch at miyu! i had the $198 dinner omakase while my partner had the $88 lunch omakase and the meal was worth every penny. the chef was extremely welcoming even though both of us ordered different menus. not only was the quality of the ingredients excellent, the service was also impeccable! i loved that the chef took the effort to find out more on my preferences and catered some of the items to my liking. i cannot wait to return soon!

We visited for the lunch omakase and made a reservation weeks before. We were not asked whether we wanted counter or table seating and assumed it was the counter - so do take note to highlight. The overall experience was really disappointing - i compared this with what we experienced in Shinji. Ordered the Hana set. Appetiser and salad were basic - we were served similar in normal japanese places. The chawanmushi was lackluster in flavour - seemed to be missing the umami taste. The 10 piece sushi was a hit and miss. The tai, ebi, squid were good but others did not wow us. Halfway through the course, the sushi was served even though we have not finished the last serving. Not sure why the rush as we understand there’s no time limitation highlighted. Especially in an omakase setting and being away from the counter, shouldn’t the sushi be served when we were done to maintain the freshness of the fish? Why the 1 star - The biggest disappointment when we were served the chefs signature roll - I believe we were served the end of the roll and there was a hole of missing rice from the picture. This is unacceptable for an omakase. The ambience is different from what was expected - the head chef was chatting very loudly with the patrons. If you’re looking for a quieter place to enjoy your omakase, probably not a place for you. The dishes were also pronounced wrongly in Japanese - not the most important factor but may affect the authenticity of the experience. Really puzzled with the raving ratings but definitely not coming back and am willing to pay more at other places for a better experience.

Delicious omakase for lunch. Friendly chef and very attentive service staff. The crowd is made up on regulars as chef chats with each one of the guests. Very hard to book bar counter seats so need to plan ahead and book in advance. Every piece of sushi is melt in your mouth but the scallop and uni and tamago gets special mention from me.
