The last time I came to this restaurant it was still selling ramen, with a "secret entrance" to the sister bar Horse's Mouth downstairs. Covid happened and circumstances changed forcing them to reinvent themselves into a casual Japanese diner affiliated to the finer other sister restaurant Yoshi downstairs too. Offered a wide variety of Japanese fare beyond the standard sashimi and sushi commonly found elsewhere with friendly and attentive staff. Attention must be brought to their less commonly available claypot rice. Tried the tiny shrimp one and was pleasantly surprised and delighted. Subtle and delicate fragrance that isn't too greasy or over powering. Portions are rather big and best shared with two to three other people. Definitely worth coming back for! The Wagyu hamburger steak offers a cheaper alternative amongst their Wagyu offerings. With the same melt in your mouth texture and umami flavour. It's definitely more jelat than the rest of the menu and not meant to be eaten alone. Price range of menu items can vary quite a bit. With the higher priced portion of the menu some what incongruent with the deco and ambience though. It's probably the quality you're paying for I suppose.

My first time here, pleasant surprise. Their lunch sets are great. There’s other dishes as well available during lunch hour. My set came with sashimi, sushi, tempura and more. This set lunch set you back S$38++. Overall the food and service was great!

Amazing find in orchard area. The food quality is surprisingly good. Do not be fooled by the humble deco. Owner probably didn’t want to spend too much to make the place fancy and let his food do the talking. Ordered the lunch set menu today (see pix) for $38++. For lunch and in a no frills place, it is abit pricey imho. I will try their other outlets in the future as I heard from my friend that each outlet has its unique set menu.

Got the duck salad, wagyu beef don and salmon trio and ikura don, salmon and hamachi sushi. Duck salad: - duck was good - veggies and sesame sauce was alright, nothing outstanding. Salmon trio and ikura don: - salmon was fresh and thick slices, quality of fish is good. - was hoping for more slices since there's only 3 of each type was underwhelming for the price paid. - ikura was alright, not the freshest but still good. - rice was red vinegar sushi, gave the rice a more savoury taste than the usual vinegary taste. Sushi: taste like normal good quality fish sushi but nothing outstanding. Overall, i find that though it was quality ingredients but the portion was alittle too small and left me wanting more but the price stopped me from getting more. Would consider coming back if the other dishes had a bigger portion of meat.

Fresh and thick sashimi! Not a fan of ama ebi, but it is super good! Loved the uni too! Claypot rice is definitely worth a try, with generous ingredients. However, kids menu still needs a bit of tweak. Food is a bit too salty and not a balanced diet, could do with less fried food and more healthier serving of fruits and/or vegetable.

Food tasted great but somewhat pricey. I would visit more often if they are more wallet-friendly hehe. ?Barachirashi Don ?22++ Sashimi is fresh but it is the ??? ??????? ????? ???? that steals the limelight. Superb quality and unique rice that I haven’t seen elsewhere. I wish there are less cucumber though as I’m not a fan of it. Don’t get me wrong, the ratio of sashimi to rice is still good. Nice portion for light eaters; big eaters will need to add on something else. ?Hiroshima Kaki with Crispy Konbu ?22++ Excellent grilled oysters! Taste similar to the ones that I’ve had in Miyajima. ?If you find my above review helpful, check out my IG @samlivestoeat for more foodie reviews! ?

We are regulars at Nozomi Forum. The food is always tasty and beautifully presented, and the service is excellent. Karen is a great server who always welcomes guests with sincerity. It's possible to get a table here unlike other restaurants in the area which are constantly oversubscribed. We have brought friends and family here and had constantly good experiences. Would recommend!

Previously dined in at their Millenia walk branch and thought that the food was commendable but decided to opt for delivery instead for the first time! As it was my first time opting delivery for japanese food, i was pretty skeptical about it as i ordered raw food but ice packs were provided and food was delivered on time! Really thankful for that as i have heard some drivers may take super long to arrive. Even though the quality wasnt as good as dining in which was expected, the food was still surprisingly fresh. I had the salmon lovers platter, daily sushi platter and wagyu bento! Really loved the packaging as well, it is of good quality. Definitely worth a try, thank you for making my first delivery experience a great one! Looking forward to dining in again soon.
