NTUC Health Denticare

Visit with caution! I hardly ever write reviews and this was the only time I felt a strong need to do so. Please read on before you visit or make a booking. Visited during 25 November. First-time visited was back in Unity name days at Ang Mo Kio branch, amazing service for scaling and polishing. This time round decided to visit Woodlands branch and realised they are changed to NTUC denticare name. I did not read any reviews on Google, proceed with my visit for scaling&polishing, and waited for Dr George. Appointment was 10.10am, doctor was late and I was wondering why I had to wait longer than usual despite being early. After awhile, I was called in and he checked on my teeth saying I have 5 holes. No discomfort, no pain and I brush my teeth regularly. Doctor advised to do a x-ray scan, I understand, went on as usual. He did not explain if the urgency of filling 5 holes was necessary, but googled for me to share the root canal consequences of not filling up the holes. With little knowledge about my teeth, I relied and trust on his professional diagnosis. Proceed to sign on every consent forms, as I was really worried about my teeth. He was professional in his services and friendly until it felt odd when he started to ask me where I work. He also asked if I was paid well - I only answered vaguely as it felt uncomfortable but he assumed that I was. Soon after everything ended at 11am which was really quick for x-ray, 5 fillings, scaling and polishing. Doctor was nice enough to share about some tips and tricks. Upon payment, my receipt was $714.10 and I thought fillings was necessary for my own oral health. As I shared with my friends and family on this, they were shocked to my experience with such a huge cost in covering 5 fillings! I was taken aback as well having little knowledge on how Singapore’s dental clinic actually works, this made me truly wonder if the clinic finessed money out from me. Decided to read up on Google reviews and realised I was not the only one who experienced such encounter! Was in disbelief and deep disappointment, do take precaution on this and always check if the urgency of the procedures are needed! Having paid heavily for this dental service, I have learnt my lesson and realised that it is important to practice due diligence, by going through few consultations with other dentist to have a better outlook on our oral health conditions. I left my feedback with NTUC denticare privately but till date on 9 December there are no replies received. Thus, I truly hope no one else should experience the same first-hand experience as I did last month.

Denticare (Woodlands) has impressed me greatly with the excellent services provided. The Receptionist is helpful and polite. Best of all the dental skills of Dr Lim are top notch. Painless scaling and polishing, the only second time I have encountere such high level of dentistry skills. Prices might be above average but worth every cent in my opinion. Highly recommended ??

The dentist and the admin were helpful and nice. My mom can’t speak English and the dentist was patient explaining everything to my mom in mandarin. She also had excellent skills and was quick with her work. My mother had three teeth extracted on last visit, and had 5 fillings today. All perfectly done. Also, the price is much more affordable than private clinic, I must say that ntuc had done a good job in reaching out to the society.

The dentist is very thorough with her assessment and skilled. Dr Lim Sze Min is also attentive. The counter staff is empathetic and score 100% on being customer centric. Great team!

My first time did dental care with NTUC Health Denticare! Thank you Dr Lim Sze Min for providing a professional service and advised. She had all the answers to my questions. A few options on the next procedure was given after the consultations too. :) Service staff assisting Dr Lim, Ms Siti Norhalizah is quick in rendering the coordination work. Keep it up! Counter staff, Ms Julie Raja provides much information needed on type of services and its costing too. TQ! Overall, I had a pleasant experience and made another appointment too. :) Thanks again Team Woodgrove!!

Visited the clinic today with an extreme toothache caused by a dying tooth nerve. Julie was the person who answered the phone and she was really really empathetic and tried her best to check for the earliest appointment she could slot me in. Her voice portrayed concern for the pain I was suffering and I could feel that she really wanted to help me. Moments after she fixed me up with the earliest available time slot, she called me to inform me that there was a cancellation and I could go over tonight! I was utterly grateful and touched by her kind gesture. She didn't have to do that but she did it out of sheer helpfulness! The clinic is lucky to have such a staff. Dr Low Sze Min, who attended to me, is a true professional! She was very patient and detailed when discussing the options I could take to alleviate my condition. Attentive and caring throughout the entire process, I felt minimal discomfort undergoing the root canal treatment. I was at the clinic near the end of their business hours and it is a Friday, but Dr Lim was willing to carry out the treatment for me, prolonging her working hours because she wanted to help me feel better over the weekend. I am in awe of her professionalism and dedication to her job! I am truly blessed to have met these 2 angels who had made my otherwise nightmarish weekend a pleasant one. This is my first visit to the clinic and I will definitely be back for my future dental checkups. Thank you Julie! Thank you Dr Lim!

My first time at NTUC denticare. Very pleasant experience. Clean space. Counter staff Julie was very polite and friendly. Dr Lim's service was great. Did a great job on my teeth and good explanation provided for each concern.

I had my checkup and teeth cleaned here by Dr Lim Sze Min. Nice and patient dentist. Took the time to explain how to floss correctly and tips on how to better care for my teeth. Receptionist was also friendly and helpful in clarifying any subsidies. The clinic is air conditioned and at a comfortable temperature. There are 3 rooms, one for the X-ray and one room each for 2 dentists. Seats are okay. Place is usually empty since they only accommodate booked appointments. Some magazines and brochures for you to read located in a corner. Usually you’ll have to wait a few more minutes longer than your scheduled appointment timing. Depending on what you’re here for, expect the bill to be around $100-200 for a checkup and cleaning.
