NUH Dental Centre 3 - 5 Lower Kent Ridge Rd

They are ok for routine services like cleaning, scaling, polishing. For more specialised services, you may be better off getting your treatment at other clinics or hospitals. I recently had my dental night guard done at NUH Dental. The night guard did not fit at all. In fact, it was so wide that the guard extends at least 4-6 mm into the gum area causing a lot of discomfort and pain. My current old night guard is only 20mm wide, 4-6 mm is more than 20% too big for the structure of my teeth. After numerous adjustments and fittings, my gum, teeth and jaw was sore for one full day. Ultimately, the night guard did not fit. I have given my feedback. Pending their response.

Appointment time 2pm. I reached 115pm. Waited in the clinic 1.5 hour, sitting there to wait for my number to be call. All numbers after me is all been called. But me still sitting . Finally I decided to check with the counter. Know what?? The doctor is not in the clinic yet. The time is already 230pm. By the time they called me, is already 245pm. I don't understand why the doctor dont have 时间观念 one meh?? And also the stuff infront tge counter , their servicing is damn bad. Attitude is very bad too . NUH management, please train your stuff again before placing them in the front desk.

16th april 2021 I arrived at the 6 floor clinic after referred by another clinic at 12.45pm Made registration and the admin staff and dentist came shortly. After reviewing my case(broken tooth stucked).The doctor suggested i come back at 2pm(after lunch). I was in pain and asked if the surgery can be done now. The doctor made a call and i on the dentist chair. Dr. Intekhab Islam(21777H). Within 10mins, he removed all the broken pieces stuck in my gums. I am grateful to the doctor, nurses and staff that attended to me during the lunch hour. Greatly appreciate it.

If you want to go here please get appointment. U can walk in but during registration they will inform waiting time is at least 2hours. I waited for 1 hour but it was ok. And if walk in u shud be there 7.30-7.45am. Other than that excellent service.

I had a referral letter from polyclinic for a wisdom tooth extraction. Had an appointment w the hospital but due to the covid situation, they had to postpone my appt to a later period. I experienced pain on Mon and called the hospital. The staff advised me to reach at 7.45 a.m. as a walk-in. I arrived at 8 a.m. and the staff told me that I might have to wait for an hour or two. Alas, I was seen by the doctor in less than half an hour. The doctor who attended to me, Dr Lum Jing li was extremely patient and nice. The experience went beyond my expectation for a public hospital. For those who are walking in, do come early like 7.45 so you won't have to wait that long. Around 830, there were already many people.

Went for wisdom tooth operation under LA, Dr Lum Jing Li is very patient and professional. He explained the whole procedure while doing it, but carefully avoids use of words that make me nervous. He was very patient and kept asking me if I feel any pain during the procedure. highly recommends!

Front desk staff Esther - incredibly rude, black face, no empathy for patients. Told me I missed my number because it took me a whole 3 seconds to walk from my seat to the desk. I was scheduled for a surgery with NUH. The nurse told me if I felt any extreme pain I am able to walk in and see a dentist. Esther told me that was impossible and the wait is 2 hours for walk in consultation. I spoke to the assistant manager Hui Jie and she confirmed that I can walk in and see a dentist with short wait. I called beforehand to confirm, the person over the phone dismissed me and said “how can we push patients forward just because you have a last min problem?” Ok so if patient number one is having a flu and patient number 5 is having cardiac arrest you’ll tell patient 5 to wait. No wonder the poor lady in the a&e lost her baby after 2 hours of bleeding and waiting. I decided to cancel my surgery with NUH after the bad experience at the dental clinic. Hui Jie said OK and she will do the necessary. Guess what? 3 months later they called me to remind me of my surgery date. Jesus Christ. Worst hospital in SG.

Dr Ode was amazing from the start. I know a lot of bad reviews but maybe get the newbies to train with Dr Ode, from start to finish he guided me throughout the whole tooth extraction. He was so calm and experienced and no mention of "Blood" or "Bleeding" to make the patient more relaxed.. He educated me politely and I need all the advice I can get because my teeth are in bad shape. I believe not all is bad here, so hopefully you get a right doctor like I did. Only positive vibes from this guy, Dr Ode ?
