★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality of food is good as usual. Their fried food is crispy and tastes fresh. My go-to place for curry puffs, chicken wings, giant fish balls and other fried snacks. However, prices have increased so much that I’m having second thoughts on patronising them. How do they even justify selling a small spring roll that is filled with nothing but shredded turnips for $1.60?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Usually very crowded and that's because they usually have 2 or 3 people max in the store so evening crowds are insane EVERYDAY.
If you really want Old Chang Kee for a snack in the evening, just go later in the night or buy and keep in the afternoon
Most of the items are gone after 6pm anyway so best to just go in the afternoon.
Most of the times I bought food there, the staff is usually not in the best of moods but I guess you can't be expected to be happy if you are working in a very hot environment in a very humid place with no air-con
Best time to go buy snacks is around 3pm so make sure you go around that time
