Old Chang Kee - #01-06/07 Old Chang Kee

Very strategic in their positioning. 200 steps fm my home. When we yearn for something to munch or something crunchy for a bite. It's curry puffs or fried squid. Thou it's not such a big Space it's made up of sumptous variations of crispy fried goodies.

The food here is cold. I inform the auntie that the food is cold and she tell me is all the same. I am not asking her to change for me. I was just informing her. I guess she is trying to say the food here is all cold. If you are afraid of getting tummy ache, I suggest you buy from other old chang kee outlet. ?

Food is decent and their fried chicken wings are good as usual. The 1 star is for the terrible service. Went twice in the last 6 months and was served by the same staff - one of the worst f&b experiences in Singapore for me. 1st visit- asked for price of a sotong ball - an item present in every single outlet since forever - and her response was: "I don't know the price. If you want to buy then I'll key in and you will find out, otherwise don't ask me." When asked to make wireless payment she gave an audible grunt of unhappiness, took more than a minutr to set up and when I tapped my card upon seeing the instructions on the card reader she snapped: "you wait, I never tell you to tap why you tap? I told you to wait right?" The only reason for my second visit was to claim the voucher using the OCK app. When I presented the e voucher she insisted that it only qualifies for one type of curry puff - despite the voucher stating specifically it was good for curry/sardine/chicken mushroom. After I followed her instructions to claim the voucher, she claimed that the voucher did not work and made me pay for the curry puff even though the transaction was already recorded on my OCK app. She even claimed: "so cheap already also must complain". I hope OCK does a better job in helping their employees upgrade and improve. I hate to see an old favorite of Singaporeans losing market share simply because of poor service.

Went there to buy OCK at 6th August on the afternoon, asked employee for new NDP "Say Cheese" set. The employee said that there was no set for that and that I have to individually choose the food. I went on to confirm if it was a mix and match cup set, then she replied, "See what you pick and what you pay." She was very impatient and impolite and ignored me and served the next customer which was a young boy, took order and took me transparent. More customers came and took me as if I was cutting the queue. So I had no choice but to pay for the wrong order. I paid her by cash and she returned the change into a tray, expecting me to collect it myself without informing me and continued to serve other customers. This was the first time I have ever received such impolite service from Old Chang Kee. Hope Old Chang Kee will do something to this situation. I do not want Old Chang Kee to lose its reputation because of this impolite employee. If you want to buy Old Chang Kee, do not come to this outlet, might spoil your entire day.

Today on 6th Aug 2021(Fri), at 4.07pm, I went to Old Chang Kee@V Hotel outlet, I have asked employee for a new "Say Cheese" C.FishFinger QQ Fries Cup, cost $3.90. The employee said that there was no set for this and I wasn't sure what does she meant by no set, is it have to individually choose the food?? I went on to confirm if it was a mix and match cup set, then she replied, "See what you pick and what you pay." She was very impatient to respond and can't understand what she meant too, she was so impolite and ignored me.Then she turn to serve the next customer which was a little boy, took his order and took me transparent. More customers came after that and many customers starred at me as if I was cutting the queue. So I had no choice but to pay for the wrong order that cashier had packed my food that was place aside earlier on. I paid her by cash politely yet she returned the change into a tray, expecting me to collect it myself without informing me and continued to serve other customers. This was the first time I have ever received such impolite service from Old Chang Kee. Hope Old Chang Kee will do something to this situation. I do not want Old Chang Kee to lose its reputation because of this impolite employee.Her attitude towards customer was too rude. Very bad experience your staff don’t know how to treat the customers not 1 time i come 4 may be 5 time the behavior is same .better change your staff. Better change your old staff . If he treat customers like this one day your old chang kee is close Thnx

In reference to the other ** reviews below regarding service. Worst service in all the Old Chang Kee outlets I have ever ate in Singapore. Even messed up my order on purpose not giving me Cheese just because I asked if the Chicken Pop has extra charges for Cheese or not. Only know how to shout back 3.20 as a reply in Chinese for every question. What a **. If she was my grandmother, I’d have left house long ago.

This outlet customer service is extremely appalling , disgusting. Flabbergasted. The China woman is extremely rude . Her appalling attitude really blows my mind. How can old Chang kee even hire her in the first place. She is literally chasing all the customers away. Shall never buy from this outlet anymore. Have to pay the service to suffer the appalling & disgusting service . Do not deserve even a star :(
