Shopped around the mall trying on different frames, the quality in service between shops is stark. Optique Zone stood out thanks to Ann, who was patient and knowledgeable on recommending and trying frames. She was thorough in her eye checks, and used both machine and manual before explaining my condition. From trying to purchase, she made it a breeze! On the other hand, shops completely ignored us, or tried to overcharge by omitting prices on frames or adding exorbitant add-ons without being upfront on cheaper alternatives. Take the necessary precautions towards dodgy sales tactics and haggle - most of the time you would get 20% off marked prices.

Been to Optique Zone a couple of times previously, after being let down by the 'fast-food-style' brands that have mushroomed around the shopping malls. This time, I needed to consider my next pair of glasses carefully as I came to terms with the fact that I probably need some progressive lenses for my newly-acquired long-sightedness :( And boy am I glad that I made the right decision! From the moment I entered the shop, everyone was warm and welcoming. It gave me a very family feel, right down to the optometrist who was checking my vision -- missed her name but it was clear from her confidence and assuredness that she knew what she was doing. She was also very dedicated in ensuring that my prescription was assessed as accurately as possible, given that it was my first pair of progressive lenses. After that, Grace helped me with my choice of lens and frame. l greatly appreciated how she helped me identify the appropriate range based on my needs and activity levels -- and clearly didn't believe in hard-selling me the most expensive set. She helped keep the prices down, and it's been a long time since I came out of a shop feeling relieved that I spent less than I expected -- and gained more than I expected too. For something that's so important in our lives -- good, clear vision, I feel we pay far too little attention. I'm glad I did my eyes a big favour, and will continue doing so: Visit a competent and professional optometrist! And what prompted me to put in such a glowing review, 2 weeks after I visited? I just received a follow-up message asking how I'm doing, and if I've adjusted well to my glasses! How's that for after-sales service! :) Thank you!

Jeremy is one of the most patient optometrists that I have encountered. I literally spent hours in his shop trying out all the glasses and he still managed a very high level of service. Also, it's not bad to have eye-candy while trying out the glasses.
