β β β β β The Cajun Chicken dish had 2 small bugs in it! I complained to the lady attendant and she refused to cook a replacement and simply told me those bugs wonβt cause any harm!?! I wasnβt even looking for a refund al though a replacement dish was perfectly reasonable.

β β β β β Portion is big, taste so-so, I can't believe this costs 12+. The prices are not stated anywhere, imagine the surprise when I learnt about the price. Don't think it's a good thing to hide that from customer, especially since you are in a coffee shop. Please display the prices below those food pictures pasted all over your wall.

β β β β β Ordered a Botak Set, Cajun Chicken Burger Set, Mushroom Soup & Double Baked Cheese Potato.
I remember having it way back in the 2000s and had fond memories of it. Definitely made a bad move reviving the memories by ordering it again today.
Botak set- the patty was crumbly and heavily salted, couldn't taste the original beef flavour. On a light note the vegetables are extremely fresh and crisp, fries were perfectly seasoned but oh wells for $18/-, it was quite a disappointment.
Cajun Chicken Burger Set - My better half had it and was sorely disappointed as he expected a juicy bite to it seeing the sauce/cheese over the chicken. Turns out to be vastly different. He commented it was on a saltier end too. Fries were perfect seasoned though.
3 stars awarded to the mushroom soup at great price point for the standard provided. The sliced mushrooms and onions added alot of texture to the soup.
Happy to know, happy for them they made a comeback but probably will not patronise anytime soon.

β β β β β The Original Botak Jones located in Holland Drive is supposed to be serving famous western food recommended by many foodies and with some media coverage.
This is our first time trying the western food from this stall. We bought a total of 5 sets of fish and chips with spicy fries and salads. The total price of 5 sets of fish and chips was $64.20. We ordered take away.
The fish was certainly overcooked. The meat of the fish was totally overcooked and the outer layer was not crunchy at all ! In fact it was overcooked to the extend that it was so hard even to chew on!!!???
The spicy fries is nice. As for the salad that comes with the fish and chips set, its a miserable amount. The portion of the salads is so little that even if you are a slow eater, you can finished the salads in just 2 mouthful!
Paying for more than $12 plus for a set of fish and chips (takeaway), that is not even up to an average standard is certainly not worth the money.
To make it worst, the bad experience comes together with at least 25 minutes waiting time and a not polite serving lady staff.
Strongly not recommended!

β β β β β My experience at botak jones was actually surprisingly pleasant despite what others have mentioned. It was a childhood favourite of mine and the portions remain generous and tasty. i would definitely patronise them again if i were in the area with my friends :))

β β β β β Order a cajun chicken and waited 20 mins and u can see their workers from the pictures there are 3 workers inside. there is one keep playing with his phone. food came and it was cold. the bake beans are scoped into a plastic container for microwave. $8.55. I miss the old time botak Jones at TUAS shipyard coffee shop. not worth and chicken not season properly without Cajun taste. they can simply sprinkle some cajun powder on top of the chicken breast . anyway last time to eat. Will not try again. thanks Bernie.
you can the rice dishes. with $8, I think you can order one huge plage of chicken with veg or even the Lou Mee.

β β β β β Pass by this coffee shop at 43 Holland Drive and was surprised to see Botak Jones . Thought they were no more in business. So got to try the old flavour. Had my steak and pleasantly surprised to the taste is still as good as old.

β β β β β Decent sides but a lacking main at a too high price reduced my enjoyment.
The burger lacked something to set it apart. Whereas other restaurants get the patty to be just on-point, add a spicy or barbecue sauce and sautΓ©e the onions, this restaurant does neither of those things.
Last but not least, the menu does not show any prices. The double burger, and its two sides which can be chosen freely and are part of the set, (see pictures) was 20S$ plus GST, which is on the higher side. When considering the setup, with the restaurant being inside a coffee shop, next to a busy road and its parking lot, the asking price is too high for what is offered.
