It was a GOD sent blessings, when I first met with Dr. Mizan Marican at the hospital ward in 2019. He had given me hope and had caringly assured me that it is not the end of what I had earlier expected of the worst. I was so upset and I broke down when I was told by the doctors at the A&E that I have to be amputated below my knee. I am a diabetic and was having an infection with high fever when I came to the A&E in 2019, when I was referred by my GP. My wife and I were so devastated when we were told of the bad news. Losing a leg is a very serious matter to me as I need to be mobile and got to go to work. Daily life will definitely be affected and different if I have to lose a leg. I recalled, Dr Mizan, who mentioned that he will do his very best to save my right foot, and yes he did!. Dr. Mizan Marican together with his partner (a plastic surgeon), Dr. Adrian Ooi had patiently saved my right foot (even though I have to get two of my badly infected toes removed). Thanks to Dr. Mizan and Dr Adrian (now they are operating at their own private clinic at Mount Elizabeth Hospital - namely Orion Orthopedic Surgery and Polaris Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Mt Elizabeth Hosp. Lastly, just to add, Dr. Mizan continued to take care of my foot and he had referred me to Atlas Podiatry under Dr. Renee who is taking care of my foot after the surgery. Thank you doctors!

I had a knee recon about a year ago with another surgeon and along the way during my rehabilitation process, I picked up another injury on the same leg. So I went to seek for Dr Mizan’s advice at this wonderful clinic on what I should do next, he then told me the necessary actions I should take and I’ve never felt this fit before. In addition to that, the staff were very polite and kind. Especially Nazeefah, the Nurse Manager to name one. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone!

I had these painful knees for about 3 years already and the pain in year 2019 were extremely unbearable. I need to see someone whom I can relate. Then, an old friend whose doctor son, recommended Dr Mizan. Dr Mizan who was then serving his notice period at SGH. There was a long queue waiting to see him and eventually I saw him. Dr Mizan took time to explain the procedure of total knee replacement. Never rushed. Dr Mizan made me feel at ease and reassuring. I was told that I was Dr Mizan’s first patient when he went into private practice. Dr Mizan did my both knees replacement. I am now into my 4th month of recovery for my right knee replacement and 9th month for my left knee replacement respectively. Surgery went very well, they were as good as new. All the different physiotherapists commended that my recovery was excellent. Excellent bending range, almost normal. I must HIGHLIGHT and believe me the scar is hardly noticeable for both knees. My friends were amazed. I can’t imagine to going to someone else. His nurse Manager Nazeefah, is very professional and friendly. I highly recommend Dr Mizan to anyone suffering from knee pain. My 85 year old mother has been suffering from very bad knee pain in her left knee for years. As a result she had stopped walking and was becoming very sedentary. Dr Mizan met my mother and had the kindest bedside manner ever and completely put my mom at ease. He recommended a procedure to numb the pain nerves in her knee and also put a lubricant in her knee. Since having the procedure, my mom literally has no pain now and has started walking so much more. Dr Mizan is an excellent doctor with a heart of gold - we highly recommend him.

Dr Mizan is an outstanding surgeon who did my two total hips replacements by anterior approach successfully. On the third day I could get out off bed to walk by walking frame. Then after 1 week I could walk without any aids. Now after 5 months, with excellent physio exercises I can now walk fast, run, squat and climb.

3 weeks post total hip replacement surgery via the Direct anterior approach which Dr Mizan is famous for. It has yield incredible outcome and now I’m pain free and looking forward to the many adventures and sports that I’ve missed out for years. Kudos to Dr Mizan and his team for the excellent service and hospitality throughout the whole procedure and ensuring his patients gets the utmost care and confidence in him. Cheers.

One of the finest surgeon (Dr Mizan) that I have known and privileged to be treated by him. Had meniscus and OATS is “osteochondral autograft transfer system” surgery which went really well. Back on my regular activity within a short period of time. Definitely a go to orthopedic surgeon who will never fail to listen. A 2 way discussion always benefits both patient and doctor.
