Otakutachi - 91 Bencoolen St

First visited the store at AMK Hub back in 2018 or so, then I frequently window-shopped the Burlington Square outlet until their closure in 2019. Moved to an entirely online-based business but their website is now gone and the last post on their Facebook was back in mid-2020. I don't know what happened to Otaku Tachi, but it will be dearly missed. Always went to their Burlington Square mall after visiting Sim Lim Square which was just a stone's throw away, and the store looked quite basic but was welcoming with the plethora of anime goods. The next time I went there, an empty store and a note was left behind, saying they will be shifting their business online due to increasing rent prices. It made me sad because I frequently window-shopped the store, but at least I can shop from the convenience of my home. Today, I decided to check their online website only to discover it is no longer accessible. I went to their Facebook and apparently their last post was made in mid-2020, after which no more. They have not made any updates on their Facebook since then, which got me to believe Otaku Tachi has unfortunately gone under. I do not know what has happened to them, but all I can only do is wish its members good luck in their future endeavors.
