Very ordinary roast pork and char siu but seems the old folks dun mind the queue. What stood out was how RUDE the stall owner was when i forgot to tell him i was eating in..... first and last time.

very old school. and definitely good school. the roasted duck is well seasoned yet kept the duck flavour well balanced. oh... the roasted pork is definitely old school. ? no need sauce. just dark soya sauce is good enough. ????

One of the best roast pork and char siew rice in Chinatown complex. The roast duck is very good too. Rice is light and fragrant. Has been visiting this stall for close to 10 years. Will definitely come and visit again!

Char Siew Rice. One of the best char siew in this huge hawker centre, remember to pair it with double boil soup from a neighbouring stall, their soup served in a small urn that is stored in a big urn is superb!.

Chinatown - Smith Street Market Outram Park Roasted Meat This store mainly visited by old people. Super old school, I bet that if you see the charsiew, you would probably skip the stall. I only ate it once many years ago and it’s was not very memorable. This time, I decided to revisit this stall with my lunch kaki. I know that the queue can get very long so I decided to visit the stall early. First, I ate the charsiew, it looked like the kind of charsiew that appears in the old school wanton mee, red and never charred. The moment it went into my mouth, I was totally surprised! The meat was so tender with the taste of charsiew sauce that is not overly covered by honey, the taste of pork still lingers on, ok so some people will call it the smelly pork smell, just a bit but not quite really smelly. Kekekeke. The rare occasion where I like my charsiew red. Then came the roasted pork, so crispy and a little salty. The duck was interesting. It’s a roasted duck that had meat tasting like a braised duck, I believe soy sauce might be his main seasoning, and it’s a mean soy sauce, I simply love it. So here you have it, old school roasted meat, never too charred, not a little bit pretentious and totally good old honest taste. And I spotted a char kway teow that I will soon try out. Chinatown market....never fails to surprise me!

One of my favorite stalls for roast meats when I'm in Chinatown. The owner is a character but he takes pride in his food. Affordable still.

This is the 2nd time the roasted duck meat ordered has a fermented taste and mushy texture (it tears apart when you put the chopstick to it). The char siew is still ok but otherwise for the duck meat.
