The staff is very helpful and will assist you for your art and craft needs. I also like that the shop brings in items/brands that you cannot really find in other major art and craft shops. I am frequent patron of the store and I am glad they are making changes to the opening hours, so non-students like me can shop at the place after work on weekdays. Hopefully, they can and will continue to bring in new brands to introduce to art and craft lovers like me.

Aesthetically pleasing and spacious art shop. I like it for the friendly staff and a great management that supports artists and makers. Particularly well stocked for crafting, pen and calligraphy enthusiasts. I come here for Claire Fontaine, Strathmore, Schmincke, Shinhan, Interlon and Escoda. My kids love the wonderful selection of stationery here too.

overjoyed is a hidden treasure for a stationery and art enthusiast such as myself. they offer a wide range of supplies that are affordable and also cater to items that are not easily accessible in other shops. the staffs are knowledgeable and friendly when inquiring about the items. i definitely recommend and would say that overjoyed is one of my favorite stores!

This one star goes to one of the staff. I was at Overjoyed earlier and wanted to get a fountain pen, so i approached the only available staff at the moment, middle aged man, not very tall with glasses, for assistance. He demanded for what i want, was extremely impatient and kept muttering under his breath, in Mandarin, "All these trash/ so much trash" i couldn't really tell. When i showed him the shelf with the pen and he stood there like he didn't know what he was doing, and i told him if assistance is required to retrieve it or if i could just take it myself (obviously i knew the answer but i was already getting a bit annoyed). Then, in Mandarin again and in a crude manner "Of course la" then he asked me if i wanted the fine liner one or if that pen only came in 1 size. Sir, you are the one working here, I have no idea ? and tbh i was hoping to understand fountain pens more from the staff since i've never owned or used one before, i suppose this man had no idea either. So i just pointed the one i wanted to him. The entire time while rummaging aimlessly and carelessly in the lower cabinets looking for what i'll assume is the product, he kept muttering that "All these trash" thing non-stop. I'm already phrasing my experience as nicely as i can and all these probably sounded like nothing, for all i know i could just be a little whiny but i'd also like to put it out here that i'm usually unfazed by bad customer services in general, but this uncle really made me flick the finger (behind his back of course, i hope the other staff saw it tho). I also left out alot of nuances here but by the end i was really not sure if i was confused or mad, probably more of the latter. But in the end he was just.. idk, not sure what he was doing ? So i just told him that if he is busy then it's okay, i dont want the pen anymore (he just shut the cabinet doors and walked away). I'm sure losing one customer wouldn't be detrimental to the business here, and i might come back for the pen another day but this place will just remind me of how terrible the service is and i don't think i'll enjoy my experience here in the future. This is the first time i visited Overjoyed after they moved to Cathay and i must say i do miss the old shop and the shop owner who tended the place. Not uninterested uncles who thinks the things/people here are trash and have zero patience for someone working in customer service. I don't know, perhaps he is just having a bad day or is really just too busy, but alot of things he has done is kinda uncalled for. I'm upset enough to want to put this out here. Hopefully the experience will be better next time.

Wow this place is an absolute gem for colored portrait artists. Have polychromos, luminance and prismacolors, all in open stock. Also a great variety of papers and accessories. Only thing to improve is to restock the popular colors a little more often. Will come back again.

So excited to discover this place. Great supply of stationery and art and crafts. Affordable prices! Honestly, it is a hidden gem at the basement of The Cathy. Beautiful shop with a wide range of crafts, brushes, paints and Colors. You can find practically all the art and craft stuff you need as the shop has everything properly labelled. Friendly and helpful staff who provided useful advise too If you cant find what you want. Would be great to see overjoyed in other shopping malls too!

Discrepancies in prices on the receipt from their POS system and the prices shown on rack. Retailer must honour the price on shelves, and not giving reason the price has increased (to $3.89) upon payment made at the cashier. The price shows on receipt did not deduct the family 10% discount until the senior cashier mentioned the increment of the product price. In addition, the 2nd discrepancy error is the receipt shows 3x circled canvas @$3.50, however on rack states 1 for $3.50. Feedback to cashier that they must not mislead customers which such prices. Senior staff mentioned the POS system is going to change to a new one eventually. Hopefully Overjoyed could do better than this and make create changes in near future

Love this place! Definitely a go-to place for people who enjoy art & craft, journaling, designing and all the activities that keep the creativity running ?? this place was like a total heaven to me and I felt like I could shop inside for hours ?
