Mia was very professional and highly skilled. had a wonderful experience doing a digital perm and treatment with her today. she took time to listen to my needs, and was able to quickly identify the best kind of curls for me while giving expert recommendations. her experience shines through very evidently in her confident skills. left the salon with the perfect haircut and perm - exactly how i had wanted it and more! the salon was also well designed and cosy, with silky overalls and a pillow for extra comfort during my time there. all in all, highly recommend Mia and the space salon team - great job!

The is my second visit to The Space. I did a premium digital perm, 3 step treatment and cut by Director Lee Han (currently on discount at $405, up to $450 - excluding Director Fee) tl;dr - Highly recommended. Lee Han is knowledgeable, recreates specific hair request, flexible during the whole process, answers my questions patiently and gives easy to maintain style. Staff are friendly and attentive. Book on weekday if possible for better experience if doing multiple treatments as it gets super busy on the weekends! ++++ I would highly recommend Director Lee Han! I am super impressed by his dedication to provide what customer requests. For one, I had very specific slightly odd requests for my hair (How I wanted my front, sides and back to look from three different pictures) and he was able to recreate them and pull it all together in a cohesive look rather then three separate looks! I recall from my first visit that he was very decisive on what to recommend after assessing my hair. To me this shows he has very good knowledge of hair and how to work with it to get a desired look. Also, when I asked questions about hair and maintenance during the process, he patiently answered all my questions. Whenever I made comments or asked questions, he was flexible and explained why he did things a certain way or made adjustments. This is important as it shows his ability to work with your requests and hair because I have had been to other hair dressers before who once they have their minds fixed on the look for you at the start, they get grumpy or annoyed if you ask or make small adjustments in the middle. At the end of it all, he made sure to spend the time to explain about my hair to me and tell me various methods on how to dry and maintain my curls. He also explained which part might have frizz, which I appreciate! He knows his hair stuff haha. He also took the time to explain the way to maintain my hair during my first visit on a weekend when he was super super busy with many customers, which shows he does his job thoroughly to make sure you have the information you need rather then brushing you off. I was able to keep my previous perm about 8 months by diligently following his advice, and it wasn’t hard to upkeep the style, easy maintenance! Super love the result. The curls intentionally look a little tight and wet straight after, but it will relax over the week as such perms are. Staff were also all friendly and sweet! One of them noticed I was in shorts and seem cold in the hair washing chair and put a blanket over my legs. That was super sweet! Lastly, because I did several things, Cut, 3 step treat, and premium digital perm, in total it took about 4-5 hours, so I would recommend going on a weekday for better experience if you’re doing multiple things as going on the weekend may result in longer waiting as it can get very busy!

I have been going to Leehan for all my hair services for many years (even before he started The Space Salon). He used to be very attentive and detailed, and I always walked out from the salon with a really nice hair style. (Even if I just go for only a hair cut, he will blow a really nice hair style for me.) The experience with him changed quite drastically during my last visit. He is no longer detailed and not taking things seriously anymore. The waiting time was extremely long. I did hair cut and perm, and I was in the salon for 5.5 hours (a lot of waiting time after every step). He decked too many customers and he was so busy. For the whole 5.5 hours, I wasn’t offered any water / snack, or any cushion (which I can see they offered to all other customers except me). My whole body ached even until now. After first time washing the next day, the curl wasn’t satisfactory, so he asked me go down the next day. The next day experience wasn’t good as well. The whole process was 4+ hour and same thing, no water given (cushion was only offered after I sat there for 2 hours). He only redo some parts of my hair (or rather just a few stripes of hair) and waiting time was long as well. For BOTH days, he DIDN’T do the final blow for me. He asked a trainee to do it, and it was very ugly. Even after the second time of “redo”, my hair is still very ugly. The curls are uneven, frizzy, uncontrollable, become straights for many parts. (Note: this wasn’t the first time I did perm at his salon. The last time I did was about 2 years ago and it was really nice and lasted a year. I went for 2 times as well, the second time was literally redo the whole hair, not just partial / patches. It was still nice and natural even after one year and I didn’t spend much time in blowing or managing even.) Price has increased (this time was about $500), service level, attention level & technique level have decreased. I think I will need to start researching which salon to go to in the future.

I searched and saw the good review for this salon. Despite that there are a few bad reviews about the stylist will not do your hair depends on your hair condition, I still decided to give it a try. Made a booking and was so looking forward to have a digital perm. When I reached there, everything was okay until the stylist approached and asked me what I wanted to do today. After the hair washed, I showed her photos of the perm that I wanted, the first thing she said is my hair condition is different from the girl in the photo and followed by this might be just a hair setting. After that she checked my hair, and KEEP complaining my hair is dry so cannot proceed the hair perm. She even asked me WHY MY HAIR IS SO DRY a few times. C'mon, how do I know that why my hair is dry or even if I know that my hair is dry, I came here to look for a fix, isn't it? Okay, so I asked what can be done, she said I can added more $50 for premium perm solution or something. I agreed. BUT she still keep looking at my hair, combing my hair while it was wet, and said it's very dry. IT IS DRY THEN??? She could've suggested maybe do some treatment or something, but she didn't. She just KEEP SAYING AND SAYING AND SAYING. Hey, I don't need anyone to hair shame me okay? So you expect your customers go to your salon with perfect hair condition? Not supposed to be like that right, we go to you cause we need a fix or style change RIGHT? I was willing to spend amount of money to get it done. And how do you know the hair condition of the girl in the photo by just looking at it? First of all, I understand that there might have miscommunication due to the language barrier and I do appreciate the honesty of the stylist that she mentioned even if she did the perm she wasn't sure what the result can be. But I really do not need you to hair shame me and ruin my day. Maybe those who gave all the good reviews have perfect hair condition, good for y'all. Maybe my hair is really very dry. I'll just lie down and cry about my dry hair that cannot be perm forever. Oh, did I mention that this is the first time I finally decide to perm my hair? Well... )': The photo I attached is the haircut that she done, I'm not sure if she lost patience to do my hair or this is a style to her. It looks pretty bad and choppy to me. I'm so regret now that I should have just left the moment she said she cant do my perm.

Staff were very welcoming, the hairstylist was extremely meticulous and careful in his work! Great service, I wasn't left to wait for long even though the salon was packed. Small refreshments were provided and the chairs for hair treatment were sooo comfortable. They just mould to your body and the process releases tension you didn't know you had. Even though the trip takes a while, it's top-notch and worthwhile. Already looking forward to my next visit!

I did soft rebonding and C curl (along with a haircut) 2 days ago and my hairstylist was 1June. He did a great job overall as he made the C curl turn out a natural style, and also showed me how to maintain the curls when blow drying. He is easygoing and reassuring too as he occasionally checked in to see if everything was fine. He is also professional because of his timeliness - I had arrived slightly late for my appointment but found him seated at the entrance waiting which was a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth coming back to this salon again. Thank you 1June!

I've got my hair colored by Jin and she was extremely patient and polite throughout our communication despite me not understanding Korean. She did her best in trying to explain to me about how my hair color fades, and how i should care for it. Even though the salon was super busy and she was juggling between colors, she was professional enough to ensure that everything was done up to her standards! I was initially afraid that the color wouldn't turn out to be nice or something that i really wanted. However, the end product caught me by surprise and it was a dream come true!!!

Decided to book an impromptu appointment today and from the booking to actual visit, it was such a pleasant experience. Stylist June was very experienced and gentle, so it was comfortable even though I spent 5 hours at the salon do a few treatments. He also gave useful tips so I can recreate and maintain my hairstyle on my own. Loved the end result - Korean youthful looking hairstyle by experienced Korean stylists!
