Had the Penang Fried Kway Teow and White Curry Mee. The Penang Fried Kway Teow was not bad - due to Singapore’s strict fire safety rules it’s near-impossible to fry something with wokhei. The White Curry Mee was great! Would have given a 5-star rating if not for the prawns which tasted a little stale.

STIR FRIED BEEF SAMBAL KANG KONG BBQ STINGRAY PENANG WHITE CURRY MEE W/ SEAFOOD ICED PENANG TEA LATTE ICED CHOCOLATE ? All food ordered is pretty meh, eatable but that's it, it's ok. Maybe penang food doesn't agree with my family's taste buds, I don't know. There's no food I like or dislike, I just don't like the taste. They do offer some prawn/fish crackers in a basket on the table, it's chargeable, we were not informed, the notice is very small. ? Not value for money, if I love the taste I wouldn't mind paying this much, but it's not particularly tasty so... It slightly over $70. ? Not much of waiting time, maybe because I went around 15 to 30mins before usual dinner time. ? Will I be back? No.

I had an atrocious experience at Penang Culture on Sunday (16 Jan) at around 12 noon. I ordered 3 items, the Penang Fried Kuey Tiao, the Penang Oyster Omelette and Penang Chendol, and was disappointed with every single item. The Fried kuey tiao was peppered with husks from beansprouts and from past reviews from other customers (see screenshot of Jason's 1 star review attached) it seemed that this is common practice! I do concur with Jason that it is ridiculous that a coffee shop / zhicar stall has better standards than what is observed at this restaurant at a shopping centre . The "Omelette" is badly prepared, with my guest and I having our meal interrupted by multiple fragments of oyster shell. One particularly sharp segment even cut my mouth! Also, an omelette is egg fried TOGETHER with other ingredients into a WELL-COMBINED dish. Just look at the Omelette served to us and how there is almost no egg adhering to the oyster. If you are serving chunks of egg with oyster, stop misrepresenting it as an omelette, that is simply fried egg with oyster / oyster topped with fried egg. Easily the worst "Oyster Omelette" I have ever eaten. Lastly, the Penang Chendol. The sweetness of it failed to mask the unmistakable smokey taste of BURNT red beans. What a disgrace to the real Penang food.

Was pleasantly surprised. The char koay teow was good not the best, but definitely good. Not spicy enough but had the right aroma and taste. The rojak was pretty authentic and the asam laksa was true to its name. Overall a definate recommendation. Service levels was good froma lady named Jin ( I think.)

Seriously... Lousy food! Penang Oyster Omelette while pricing reasonable at 9.90 for restaurant, is so tasteless anyone can fry this. Oysters (don't mind given only 4 pcs) suppose be the main item but was not fresh. Smell even. Penang Assam Laksa compared with most outside hawkers, never taste worse. Spicy squid was so rubbery.. Impossible to chew. Perhaps this place should sell only nasi lemak which was nice when I 1st frequent this place. Disappointing.

A good place to go for weekend dinner (e.g. Fri dinner) as all the rest of vivocity is super crowded. Not much queue (as the restaurant is located at a far corner after the basement NTUC) and food arrived very fast. You can ask them for a free cup of water. The sambal fried rice is VERY spicy, so much that we ordered a root beer float to cool down the heat. The root beer float comes with crushed ice, so taste abit different.

Reasonable price and dishes have the wok taste. Pretty good. Stir fried beef is average, bbq sotong is good. Best dish goes to the long bean fried eggs, so good even my son who not taking any vegetables said nice and finished the eggs and long beans. Service is also good as well.
