โ โ โ โ โ Wet kuay teow, carrot cake has a lot of kueh but little egg, it doesn't even stick together because of how little the egg is. Both are disappointingly tasteless

โ โ โ โ โ Ordered a char kway teow and black fried carrot cake. The char kway teow was hard and dry. The fried black carrot cake was too sweet, egg was hard and dry, and lacked of "wok hei". Very disappointed with both dishes.

โ โ โ โ โ Tried the oyster omelette. Oyster was fresh and the balance of the oyster juice in the omelette was just right. Personally prefer a slightly crispy omelette version, only if he made it crisper!
Came back and tried the black carrot cake, a good balance of sweetness and saltiness. Saw trays of steamer racks, the carrot cake must be homemade. ?

โ โ โ โ โ The fried carrot cake is soft and delicious. The stall owner made the carrot cake himself. The char kway teow is good as well.

โข The black version seems to be their speciality, but I prefer the white version.
โข Kopitiam is along my cycling route, and one of my breakfast stops.

โ โ โ โ โ This stall is run by an uncle alone and he handmade the carrot cake himself too. Carrot cakes were cut into rectangular pieces and it had more radish then those factory made. White version of his carrot cake was eggy and nicely charred, with a slightly crispy texture.
