★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly Uncle Jimmy and Aunty. They have not changed for many years since the time they were at Coronation Plaza. The sets are value for money and there are takeaway options available.
It is quite old school Hainanese style Western food. Most customers are regulars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional Hainanese cuisines - love the chef and boss running the shop. Oxtail, pork cutlet with fried and sauce is amongst their signature dishes

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a impromptu visit for our dinner at this 70s' coffee house when we are exploring the area plus tired and needed a place to rest.
Was not expecting much but a good traditional place for my nice coffee.
Foods was just average nothing fanciful and coffee was too bland. What makes me happy to give 4 stars was the owner uncle service. He was so nice, friendly, giving us a really warm to heart feeling eating there just like home. He was telling us about the history about the coffee house and I can tell that he is a very happy man with achievement.
Try it once, will return not for the foods but for his kindness, friendliness and heartfelt feeling. Thank you for making us feeling home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally visited this long-heard restaurant. Maybe I put a High expectation before visit, thus I found not deserved 5 stars. Food taste a bit Light on the mushroom soup and pork chop, coffee also. However, boss and staff are friendly. Restaurant ambience also quite retro. Worth to visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on a weekday afternoon around 3pm+, hence there was no one in the restaurant.
Uncle sitting outside the restaurant welcomed us in immediately and took our orders. Short waiting time. The Hainanese pork chop was very authentic, chicken chop was great. Ice lemon tea not too sweet. Uncle served a complimentary dessert towards end of the meal. $27 in total. Good service and reasonably priced. Will be back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oxtail stew at $30 got you a big portion served with potatoes and mix vegetables. It was flavourful and meat was tender. Highly recommend this.
Chicken chop a sizeable portion with mushroom sauce was tender and juicy.
Chicken pie with an old school taste, reminiscent of Hainanese coffee houses in the 70s, is a must-order.
It came with big chunks of tender chicken with melt- in- mouth potato and carrot pieces.
We were given complimentary grass jelly for dessert. A lovely surprise!
Would like to come back to try the local dishes the next time.
