★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very delicious egg tarts! The best in Singapore, JB & Batam!! Pastry is flaky with "just nice" egg custard texture. Sweetness is just right too. Upon collection egg tart was still warm.Ate pastry 1.5hrs after collection,
pastry skin still had a crunchy sound so so good!! Owner was very nice & friendly even though I bought through Shopee. No bad attitude at all. Definitely will purchase again even without discount/promo platform.

I would post a picture, but putting the box in my bag caused the egg tarts to be deformed (since they were so soft! Will be more careful next time) but it was still delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not leave Whampoa market without trying these amazing tarts. The inside is similar to the consistency of crème brûlée but with a perfect amount of sugar. The crust is baked to perfection and the layers break wonderfully in your mouth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bottom of the pastry is soft; I think most are the same unless is pastry is hard-base. To make it crisper, I heated it using an air fryer at 100°c for less than 5 minutes after refrigerating it overnight.
The egg tart's size, I think, is reasonable and standard size. The sweetness is acceptable, less sweet. I hope it can be less sweet some more.
It satisfies my taste, at least. I may consider it as a tea time snack occasionally if I go to the TCM centre again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must visit when you’re in Whampoa!! Buy a box or two for your family, friends or just for yourself when you’re there!! Its a delicious egg tart with a creamy, smooth custard and crispy flaky pastry crust! The bottom of the crust can get “soggy” IF the tart has been sitting out for a while but it really is just the beautiful buttery layers making itself known. A quick toast in the oven makes it crispy again and SO hard to stop at just one or four.
