NOT a place for large group- they had to split our family of 9 adults / 2 kids (& a baby who didn’t need a seat)- not entirely their fault: v bulky chairs. So unfortunately not a great start. 2 staff for the entire restaurant all evening, definitely understaffed, we had to wait quite a bit for the food to be served. Each table ordered separately. NB: This sentosa location also charges 20-40% higher than the other one- unjustified: it tries to be upscale but the ambience doesn’t quite cut it. Neither does service, nor food quality. Totally not worth it. SERVICE: 1.5 star* docked for unsmiling dour face on the taller server (Peter? I think), who was really grumpy- he recommended >10 non-vegetarian dishes(!) for 6 adults, citing small portions; we told him we are 1 vegetarian & 1 Muslim & He said it’s ok. BUT portions aren’t small!! We tried to cancel some but not successful. Restaurants that over recommend/ allow over order are really poor form. Very annoyed. Also, when I tried to add a vegetarian dish & another rice, he retorted with “Are you sure?? Please check or ask xxx (my brother)”. I have never had such appalling service in any fine dining establishment. EVER. FOOD: 1.5 Star* docked for underwhelming meats/ seafood. We probably had most of the menu! In a nutshell: vegetables & vegetarian dishes were pretty tasty; ALL of the meats/ seafood dishes were a letdown… no room for desserts, cos he over recommended :((( (1) Buah Keluak Curry- was ok, not worth $33 tag; (2) Chicken Curry Debal; - also ok, not spicy or chillied, $31 too pricey (3) Beef rendang x2- overcooked, sinewy $33; (4) Pork Tambrinyu- no major comment $31; (5) Sotong black- rubbery! hardly touched. waste of $29; (6) Calamari Sambal Petai- also rubbery, ~5-6 petai HALVES v sad, $30 again wasted; (7) Mulligatawny Soup x2- $16 x2 well spent cos the kids liked it; (8) Corned beef fried rice- $16 no comment; (9) Fried French Beans x2- $14, was ok; (10) Patchiri- flavourful & tasty! $14 (11) Angled bean salad (v)- finally a dish that was outstanding! Pineapple thinly-sliced gave a lovely contrast to tue wing bean & onion slivers, $15 well worth it; (12) fried okra- also pretty tasty $14 (v); (13) Turmeric Cabbage (v) - too salty $14; (14) Prawn Bostador - nothing to shout about $$33 Also- we didn’t order Buah Keluak Fried Rice $20, but was charged for it. Along with a couple extra white rice :( Our fault for not checking properly but theirs for messiness. I think the servers were very busy & serving our table with young kids probably required effort, BUT that’s par for the course in f&b, and poor form/ response/ attitude is simply unacceptable. That’s what the service charge is for. There was however, a more elderly uncle, who made the evening better - he was affable, friendly & smiley-ish (behind his mask, you can see in the eyes). Sadly not enough to make up for his Co worker… $505 & a not-great evening later - Definitely not coming back.

Great service and ambiance for dinner (pity there's no background music due to current covid restrictions). Celebrated my wife's birthday here. Interesting fusion food. Had the signature chicken curry, buah keluak, and chap chye. The food is pretty decent. Overall a good place to celebrate special occasion!

Visited on 19th December for our anniversary lunch. Food tastes great! Curries were fragrant and the meat were very tender. We ordered: - Feng (Starter) - Buak Keluak Curry (Main) - Fried Okra (Sides) - Hot Mocha While we were waiting for our food to be served, a welcoming waitress (more to share on her later on) also served us a plate of hot keropok. Ambience: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Service 5/5 Deducted 2 stars because of a grumpy man (the only waiter wearing a suit) that served us. Strike 1: When he was serving us our food, not only did he put the plates down and wanted to leave without even specifying the names of each dish, the way he pushed the plate in from the very corner of our table even though he could have made space by using his other free hand to shift the 2 plates on it, almost blatantly reflected his reluctance to serve our table right from the start, and really did not reflect basic standards expected from a restaurant such as this. He was unable to fulfil his original goals of leaving without needing to even speak a word to us, as we had had to ask him what each dish was, and yet, he just pointed to one of the plates and said that’s the main. Strike 2: Surprisingly, he was all smiles with the next table who were enquiring about various wines or drinks. Do we not deserve a word or a even a smile just because we did not order wine? Strike 3: We asked for the bill from him. Although he went on to service another table right after we asked, we were initially alright with waiting since he had to tend to the other customers. However, after he was done entertaining the other table, he forgot all about our bill, took off his jacket, and casually went to wash some dishes at the sink. We waited for a while more before finally giving up on expecting any decent services from him, and got the attention from the waitress and younger waiter instead for our request. It really is not everyday that we receive services such as what we've experienced. Other than a not very pleasant experience with this grumpy man, everything else was top notch. Special shout-out to the waitress who served our table as well! We did not get her name as none of the servers were wearing a name tag that day. She was seriously attentive to our needs and is very knowledgeable about the dishes, providing us with good serving size recommendations. She shared with us that they ran out of baguettes, but still got out of her way to check again with the chef if there were any baguettes available to go with our curry dishes, and was apologetic that there weren't any left. After we were almost done with our meal, she took the initiative to check on us, asking whether our food is alright, do we need more water, etc. We are thankful for her services, really commendable ! The younger waiter was also very efficient when we asked for him and the waitress for the bill, immediately getting it for us, and adorably laughing at himself for accidentally saying something wrong when we were going off. He even attentively went ahead just to open the door for us to leave, even though he didn't have to as we were nearer to the exit than he was.

Entertainer 1-for-1 brought me here. 1st thing that struck me is the ambiance - cottagey building nestled in greenery with beautiful interior design (see video). Service was prompt & proper. Food was good (details below). Parking is at the Barracks Hotel - you gotta turn in at Gunner's Lane & not 10 Artillery Ave! Google maps is optimized for drop-offs not drivers? Sadly, the restaurant will no longer be on entertainer next yr so go while the deal is on! Ambiance: 5/5. Light music & posh interior. Night view is gorgeous. Alfresco seats available too. Service: 5/5. Prompt in water refills & dish clearing. Food: 5/5. LOVED the Chilean codfish! So juicy & smooth! Add the rendang-ish sauce & it's heaven! Oxtail curry debal & beef rendang was great too! Their rendang sauces are really rich, thick & bursting with flavour ? Chicken stew was ordinary. Price: 5/5 because entertainer 1-for-1? HAHA. If not, it's rather pricey. But oh well, restaurants needa survive & diners needa survive too.. So.. It's a survival of the fittest?? Location: 5/5. Not the most accessible by public transport but nonetheless a great location because of its quiet setting & greenery all around it.

Had a great dinner here - didn't know what to expect as it was my first time but was really impressed by the food and service. Highly recommend the signature devil curry with oxtail (have it with both rice and the baguette), the potato croquettes and the sweet potato bun with spiced pork filling (both starters). The signature cocktail also went very well with the spicy curry! Dessert was good too - had the gula melaka lava cake. Overall a great experience and better than expected. Would recommend a visit and will definitely bring more people the next time so we can try more dishes! P.S. its not too formal and there's nice alfresco seating

Sort of a local and western fusion. It's a chef's own take of local food and tastes well. The dish "Feng" is a pork and offal stew which tastes like mutton soup we had in hawker centre. Sotong with black ink isn't salty and sotong has perfect texture. Roasted pork isn't over salty and it tastes average. Some prawn crackers are complimentary. Cod dish otah is novel as a name but not impressive in taste. A dessert platter has four different ala carte desserts. It's more than we thought, cannot finish. It's your tapioca, Pisang in some kuey. Not bad actually.

Delicious. I don’t have many favourites I would often come back and eat; this is one of them. Just plain delicious. Wide selection of drinks too. Pleasant environment. We had a very nice enjoyable meal. Restaurants should be like that- delicious and enjoyable. No need for fanfare and all.
