Not sure what the hype is about. Tasted better ones just nearby my place. They put a lot of peanut, it’s like you’re eating a peanut roll. Take away the peanut and the popiah is just bland with no flavour. I tried both versions at this stall. Other popiahs I’ve tried are usually still flavourful without peanuts.

Super good popiah! Moist but not to the extent of soaking through. Lots of peanuts that explode with its fragrance as you chew on them. Chillies that has bite and yet does not burn till you cannot taste.. fresh lettuce to give a little crunch when you eat it. Eggs that fall out when you pick a piece up.. Such a combination...love it. My MUST buy the next time I am on maxwell.

One of the nicest rojak in town. Cuttlefish and youtiao are grilled crispy and they use a generous amount of crushed peanut. Normally other places use very little peanut as the cost is higher. The sauce is fragrant and addictive. Haven't tried their cockles and will come again next time to try.

This MICHELIN Guide Singapore Bib Gourmand listed stall offers the best popiah in the city. Two (2) plump rolls of popiah, condiments draped with tangy, sweet sauce for just $2.80. Damn syok ???? Popiah is a Hokkien Teochew dish with origins in the Xiamen area dating back to the 17th century. Highly recommended, the stall also sells Rojak and Cockles hence the name. Stall accepts QR Code pay.

Located inside Maxwell Food Centre. Ordered the Rojak- a local dish. The grilled cuttlefish was tasty and crispy, irresistible. The prawn paste was thick and flavourful, it didn’t have the overwhelming smell that destroyed the flavour of the other food. There were very generous amount of peanuts bits served. Overall this stall served excelled rojak and I loved the rojak that were on the sweeter side. For this particular store, the price was higher than other rojak stores. But the queue for this stall was never ending. There would always be someone there queuing for the food. Strong recommendations! A must try!

I ordered this Rojak mix ($8 portion). A few types of items here; you tiao, grilled cuttlefish, century egg, tau pok with bean sprout & vege, cucumbers. Served with sweet peanut sauce separately. You tiao was crispy. Overall it's yummy ?? Check out my IG: @serenetan.sg for more food reviews
