★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The soup does not taste like when it was at Sin Ming. Perhaps too salty? Over peppered? Pork rib quality was however very good! But what was really lacking is the ability to brew tea. This is not allowed by the coffee shop owner who runs the drinks stall. Sadly that takes away most of the BKT experience. For me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the peppery, garlicky kind of BKT soup. The soup itself is very shiok and I would recommend to try!
The dragon ribs is super soft and yummy. the pig trotters is flavourful and the meat falls off the bone very easily... Has a good amount of fats too.
Only gripe is the you tiao which were too tough.
They do sell out/ close pretty early. We reached at 7.30pm and it was the last bowl of Dragon Rib and we saw pple being turned away after us (shld be no food left).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious bak kut teh! I got the pork rib soup ($6.50) and you tiao ($1.50). It came with 4 meaty ribs and yummy, well-seasoned broth. And the you tiao was nice and chewy. Would definitely recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bak Kut Teh (SGD $14.80) @ Rong Cheng Bak Kut Teh.
.
A pioneer in the Chinese Teochew BKT scene since 1976, founder Lim Hai Chay recently un-retired himself to return and grow his business.
.
Known for being the 1st to use premium pork loin ribs, also known as dragon ribs, they cook fresh pork with water, pepper, and garlic, boiling for up to 2 hours using a house secret technique.
.
This infuses their clear broth with a delicious and distinct meaty sweet savoury peppery spice flavour, having an enticing kick, setting it apart from their competitors.
.
The large pork ribs are fresh and chunky, yet tender with a soft moist chew, holding good meaty sweet savoury flavour.
.
The preserved mustard greens infused with pork lard are soft and juicy, having an addictive vegetal earthy sweet salty flavour. The fluffy white rice with grainy sweet notes paires well with the soft braised peanuts with bold salty savoury nutty flavour.
.
The set came with a choice for the sides, so I got braised pig's skin. Loved the slippery chewy texture and robust salty savoury fatty notes.

? Food wise: First Sip of the soup, I knew I will need more soup, it was satisfying! And although quite rich in seasoning, the pepper based soup was also rich in the flavours of the pork, it had depth, it was warm and it was tasty!
The meat was thick, juicy, and tender. It does not stain the bone that much, it came off pretty easily by prying the meat and bone apart using a pair of chopsticks and a spoon. And all that was left after that was the mouthful soft succulent piece of meat! There were also some fatty pieces of meat there, it helped create the feel of depth in the dish.
You tiao, was not that warm, kinda slightly over seasoned, slightly salty.
✨ Ambience wise: Coffeeshop!
?? Service : Great! Friendly staff that jokes with customers while serving the good food!
? Price wise:
Signature Dragon Rib Soup 龙骨汤 $9.00
You tiao 油条 $1:50
