I went there with fear and apprehension for I have had a few bad experiences with a few dentists. However my fear soon dissipated, as Dr Tan was the total opposite of all those bad dentists that I had visited. He was very reassuring and most important of all, he had empathy towards my fear, instead of dismissing it. He explained all the steps clearly and took his time to let the numbness settle before starting work on my tooth. This is something I find very important, as rushing it before numbness settle will cause pain to the patient. I have always feared injections and to my surprise, I didn’t feel that much pain during the injection process although my gums were already swelling. I am going back to Dr Tan tomorrow for my second root canal session. I would highly recommend Dr Tan to anyone who needs a kind and skilful Dentist for root canal treatment. He’s a Dentist with a capital D! Thank you Dr Tan and team!

I'd like to thank Dr. Tan and his team for the professional and great service and care provided from the start to the end of the root canal treatment I had. Dr. Tan explained the process I was about to go through with details and what to expect, and that me feel at ease. Proper pain management was done, and I would describe that my procedure was relatively painless even though I had a low pain threshold. Last Saturday when I found out that I needed to do root canal, my boyfriend and I went around looking for an endodontist. I felt stressed and worried as I was in great pain and I didn’t know which endodontist to look for. It was very important to me to find someone experienced and skilful as my case was complex. My boyfriend found Dr Tan and after reading all his wonderful reviews I quickly gave them a call. Nurse Hui Si was friendly and professional, she answered my queries with patience and was very helpful. Dr Tan’s schedule was very full but he has kindly slot me in after hours as he knew I was in pain. I feel blessed and fortunate that I got to know about Roots! and made the right decision to go to Dr Tan for root canal. I have always been afraid to go to the dentist as I have several bad experiences before but Dr Tan is so patient, kind and reassuring. He will explain everything step by step in detail so that I understand and also tells me what he is going to do next. I felt safe and in very good hands throughout the whole process. I am someone who is afraid of injections and have a low pain tolerance and I didn’t think his injections were painful at all. Dr Tan is really experienced and skilful and takes pride in his work. My boyfriend who accompanied me in the room throughout was very impressed by Dr Tan too. The clinic called the next day to check on my well being too. I hope my review can help anyone who is going through what I have went through. Dr Tan is the endodontist you can trust. He is the best dentist I have ever met!

Dr Tan makes it a point to explain every detail to ensure that I understand the situation and make better decision. After checking, testing and looking through my X-rays I had provided, he suggested a better option is implant.

Truly a great experience at Dr Tan's clinic. He came as a recommendation from a dentist friend, and several other places were unable to accommodate any last minute appointments. Really grateful that Dr Tan's clinic scheduled me for an appointment that very evening (sorry if you guys had to work OT!). It has been one week since my procedure and I can eat and sleep normally now. I didn't even have to take any painkillers right after the procedure! FYI, I am 7 months pregnant and am unable to take any painkillers (only regular panadol). I am also not able to take any xrays, so the experience and skill of the dentist is extremely important! The clinic also called me up to check on my condition 2 days after the treatment. Thankful to have been introduced to Dr Tan, who was patient, caring and very reassuring throughout the 3 hour procedure. He took care to make sure I am not in any discomfort and also explained every step along the way. Thank you Dr Tan and team! :)

Stumbled upon this place based on Google Reviews and oh boy, glad I did! Had a root canal treatment done and Dr Tan and team was super reassuring, highly professional and most importantly really empathetic. I had a “hot tooth” so unfortunately my tooth couldn’t be fully numbed out but he ran through and verbalized/explained each step of the process throughout the treatment. What I also really appreciated was that the Dr took his time to do a thorough check before actually doing the root canal and did not assume anything at all. For one who fears going to the dentist, I was super glad and relieved to have come across this place. He also makes sure to take his time to perfect your tooth haha! You’ll be in good good hands here.

Dr Tan explained every step while doing the root canal. He was reassuring and I was very scared of the pain. The root canal was not painful as I thought it would be. In fact, I did not feel the pain! Thank you Dr Tan for your patience and care! Dr Tan is very good! God bless!

Prior to my root canal treatment with Dr Tan today, I heard that root canal treatments are very painful and I was so fearful. But alas, Dr Tan made it painless for me! He was very gentle and meticulous, and explained to me every single step of the procedure! I truly appreciate that he made it a point to make me feel comfortable throughout. I certainly recommend Dr Tan to anyone who needs to do root canal treatments! ?? Glad I had made the right choice :)
