This humble hawker stall is run by two friendly middle aged Chinese couple. I daresay they have one of the best tauhuay /dou hua / silky smooth soft tofu in Singapore. Delicious tauhuay to me should have the following characteristics: 1. Has a fragrant soya bean aroma and taste. 2. Silky smooth when warm (and ideally when cold too). 3. Uniformly formed without braking apart into chunks and bits too easily when moved or scooped. 4. Delicious even with just a tiny bit of syrup or plain on its own. This stall easily meet all the requirements. Their soya bean products are freshly made daily. The prices are affordable ($1 for tauhuay, $0.80 for the soya bean drink) and they have other options too such as grass Kelly and sugarcane juice. Their pearl toppings are quite soft and too sweet, so I would suggest giving that a skip, but we are not here for pearls anyway (: Give it a try. I would travel half an hour just to have the tauhuay from this place. Best of all, there is rarely a queue because they are so efficient! (They are closed on Mondays though...)
