I'll change this to higher when they stop giving out plastic gloves. I thought the whole point of scoop was to decrease plastic.

It is a very nice experiential store and I would regularly buy produce if it would not be much more expensive in many cases. 10 dollars for a litre of kombucha. I thought the no-brand, loose weight, bring your own container, should result in lower prices. But retailing in Singapore is all about segmentation. Australian housewives will bring their own containers and buy laundry detergent by weight in the name of the environment. I guess that does create meaning in an expat's existence despite travelling by SUV and not bus. Hope the chain changes its pricing and survives.

Most of the things are over priced. Will only buy if I need in very small quantity. Or items that are not commonly available elsewhere. Tried the berry kombucha. So bland/tasteless. Don’t even taste a hint of berry. Will not buy again.

Hilarious! I am a regular purchaser of Bare Blends protein powder. The product tastes pretty good. The people who work at this location are pleasant and helpful and that's where the compliments will end. A couple of months ago, Bare Blends may have ceased producing or selling 1Kg container of the protein product. The retail price at Scoop is roughly $119.00. Bare Blends has now replaced the 1kg container with a 750g bag, which is ok. BUT Scoop continues to retail the smaller portion at the same retail price! I found it strange, inquired, and was informed back in late May or top of June that pricing for the smaller quantity has not been updated and to compensate the consumer, Scoop was offering consumers a choice of free peanut butter, raw almonds, and a limited edition Scoop tumbler (I can already feel the envy from the readers). I offered my feedback to the store clerk and was assured that the feedback would be shared with HQ. Great! Fast forward to July and the price for the 750g bag of protein remains at $119. I asked the store clerk why and was informed the same rationale as I received in May/June. The owners have not changed the price and I could have my choice of peanut butter, almonds, another limited edition tumbler and I believe this time there was even a 1.5kg dumbbell being offered. Really strange. I asked to speak with the management and was informed that I could send an email. Ya, no thanks. I'm not going down that route. I was informed that there isn't a phone number to reach HQ which I thought was strange, as well. Maybe consuming organic foods has allowed Scoop employees to leverage mental telepathy to communicate with one another. I left my mobile number for someone to call me back, and two people did in fact keep their word. Great! Scoop Employee - Caller #1: I was informed that the peanut butter I was not interested in is one of the most popular products at Scoop. Odd that a retailer would give away a very popular product as this would impact margin. But if. the owners are good samaritans then ok. Then I was informed that the promo (buy Bare Blends and have a choice of 3 freebies) originated for Father's Day and was so popular that Scoop decided to continue into July and stop in August. Ok. I then asked if the price for the 750g bag would be reduced in August as I am paying 1kg price for25% less product. Caller #1 wasn't even aware that Scoop sold 1kg bags for $119. No fault to him as he may be new. I was informed by Caller #1 that he would check internally and call me back. Super. Scoop Employee - Caller #2: A lady called me a few hours later with the explanation. Apparently, Scoop's purchase price of Bare Blends has increased and that is the reason for not adjusting the price for the smaller volume product. Ok so why would a retailer offer a consumer more product (free peanut butter, tumbler, almonds, dumbbell) to sell a product that costs more money? This would completely destroy margins. Maybe Scoop is a non-profit organization and they want to pass the savings to consumers versus paying for a telephone line to support customers? I politely informed Caller #2 that I have received two different reasons for not changing the price and both make zero sense. Caller #2 said she would check with a manager and someone will call me back. So what is the actual reason for not adjusting the price? Is it an extended Father's Day promo? Is it a strategy to have new customers taste the wonderful peanut butter in an attempt to convert existing customers into peanut butter fans? Is it because the wholesale price is now higher and in order to compensate for reduced margin, Scoop management has decided to give a "popular" margin increasing product away for free? Are the owners too lazy to even think about adjusting the cost? Or are the owners punishing customer for buying a product and pushing the same customer to take product that cannot be sold like a limited edition Scoop tumbler and an unknown brand of dumbbell? I just want to speak to someone and get an answer. This is comical and painful.

A great concept but a steep price to pay for trying to go green and keep away from single use packaging. The selection of things is one of the widest in similar type of stores in Singapore. It ranges from nuts, coffee, tea, chocolates, olive oils, vinegars, to detergents, soaps and cleansers. It contains many organic, eco friendly products but at a steeper range which are not accessible to the mass market.

I love this place! It has a brilliant selection of food and other household items. Yes, it is a bit pricey compared to FairPrice, but then it’s organic and without plastic packaging. And to be honest, it tastes much better, so worth that extra dollar. Must buys- 1. Yogurt balls 2. Body washes 3. Face soaps and loofahs 4. Honey 5. Breakfast cereals and protein bars 6. Anything else that fancies you ?
