Really good shellout. ??? For $46, it can comfortably feed 3-4 pax. Good variety of seafood given too like mud crab, lala, squid, prawns, crayfish and stingray in the set. The sambal sauce was really nice and seafood was fresh. Will come back to try the shellout in other flavours!

Interesting place at Jem Kopitiam. Very big portion. Was a bit dry but the sambal ijo complements the dish. Tbh I still miss the old ayam penyet stall but this will do

If you are looking for homecooked-style halal BBQ and tze char to share with your loved ones, Sedap Wok @sedapwok_halal is the place to be! Bb decided to try the Indonesian Ayam Penyet since it’s their proclaimed Top 10 dishes to try! ⁣ ⁣ For $5.90, you get to dig into one smashingly sedap dish! The chicken thigh is really huge, with a crispy batter coating the tender & succulent meat underneath. Personally I think that the chilli is an important component that brings everything together, and their green chilli paste hits the right spot elevating the flavour of the chicken while not being numbingly spicy. ???⁣⁣⁣ ⁣. ?Address: 50 Jurong Gateway Rd, #05-01 Jem, Singapore 608549⁣

I have been having food poisoning for over a week. bought fried rice. i packed the sambal that was near the counter. It was smelling unusually sour, i just thought it was the chili or whatsoever. And that was the only meal i had for the day. ive been having food poisoning because of that. Very disappointed. Should they been checking their products freshness everyday? im really concern about those who had them the entire day.

,. 1. Indonesian Mak Mak Noodle Pot (for 2 pax) S$9.90 generous portions with assorted seafood like fresh prawn, fish slice, lala, fish cake, sotong etc. This is appetizing and enjoyable ? Must order ? ,. 2. Sambal fried Beehoon S$5.50 This is another must order, fragrant, slightly spicy and sweet. I really like this one, it is slightly moist too? ,. 3. Prawn Indonesia pan grilled set meal S$7.90 that includes rice, egg and vegetable. Choices of sauces include sedap(non spicy)/ sambal/ black pepper. Of course I chose sambal, delicious prawn and the sunny side egg is runny ?, the cabbage is more on a crunchy and light side, which I prefer a sweeter and softer cabbage though. Pocket friendly and tasty set meal to order ,. 4. Malay Satay, S$8 for 10 sticks as I don’t eat beef and mutton, so tried the chicken one. The meat is quite tender. ,. 5. Fried sotong S$5.90 Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. ? ,. Review as posted on my IG: Yummymich

Eaten a few times when they were in JEM. Hit & miss. Now that they moved nearer to my place, went for lunch. Wasn’t dissapointed with the tomyum steamed fish ordered. Fish was fresh too. Mango salad nice but lack the ooomph factor. Maybe not sour enough?

Was looking forward to trying this stall since I saw Seth Lui’s review. Seth Lui obviously didn’t give sufficient heads up on the terribly rude guy at the counter which totally ruin my SGD40 bucks dinner experience! I ordered through mobile and it was stated as “ready” on my mobile. And when I went to collect, this rude guy shouted “It’s not ready la! If it’s ready I’ll press ready!”. I said “ok, my phone said it’s ready so I thought it’s ready”. He again shouted “I didn’t press ready. It’s not ready!”. This time I couldn’t take his attitude and shouted back at him “Calm down! How would I know it’s not ready when my mobile shows it’s ready! Then how would i know when it’s really ready?!”. He again said “I will press ready when it’s ready!! Can’t believe I paid SGD40 for this attitude! In my mind, I punched his smug face. But The civilized me (with the help of my friend pulling me back) decided to take the high road and walked away! Moreover, before me, he gave this lady a torn SGD10 note. And when she said she didn’t want it, he said it can’t be helped, a customer gave this to him. She insisted she didn’t want it but he said he has closed the cash drawer and asked her to take it. This guy really doesn’t belong to the service industry! I really hope he’s not the owner! I won’t comment on the food experience as i don’t want to make an emotionally-driven assessment on the food. Clearly the terrible experience affected what I think of the food, and making a comment wouldn’t do any justice to the food, nor the chef. Advise to the fella if he’s reading this. I’m sure you know who I am. Pls stay home and stop ruining your customers’ Friday evening! Some ppl have waited the whole week to have a good meal to start the weekend!

If you’re looking for some wok hei tze char dishes, do try it out at @sedapwok_halal . Sedap Wok is a Muslim owned food stall located at Causeway Point Cantine food court on level 7. Sedap Wok aims to bring Asian infused flavours into their cooking so that our Muslim friends can try it too. I have ordered their signature seafood platter $29.90 served 2-3 pax. The platter consisted of stingray with basil, black pepper sotong, crumb coated fish, stir fried Lala, sweet and sour prawns, mango salad and fried rice. I am so WoW-ed by its oversize servings and impressed with the Wok Hei fried rice and prawn. The $19.90 sweet and sour sea bass reminded me of our Chinese dishes. The sea bass was deep fried and coated with sweet and sour sauce making the dish very appetising. Ayam Penyet, huge and crunchy. Served with their specialty chilli. A smashing dish to try for. Durian Pulut $6.90. The real durian flesh was frozen and topped onto pandan steamed glutinous rice served with savoury coconut cream. One serving was good to be shared with 2-3 pax after a hearty meal. I would definitely come back for more oversized yummy dishes.
