Very old tailor shop. Owner owns the building can therefore can survive so long cis nowadays many people buy ready made pants n shirts. Owner is courteous n polite. Parking is a big headache as there is no parking area around the shop.

I made the way to travel for alteration and its closed. The owner did not even put a signage outside the store. The store light was on and the owner was inside the store. With the shutters intact, he told me to come back the next day. If he would have updated his opening hours or at least provide a contact number on a website / Google it would save customers heaps of time and effort.

I found this clothing alteration shop after discovering that the one I used to patronise has been getting worse in terms of their service. I am so glad I found this shop since it is so convenient for me. The tailor is a really experienced 80 year old uncle who has been altering clothes for more than sixty years! He is professional and gives really good recommendations! I had a batik shirt from Bali altered and the fit is perfect. Also, the price and waiting time are both very reasonable (my alteration only cost $12 and two working days). His wife sells traditional ladies clothing as well. She is a lovely lady who is extremely friendly. I chatted with her for a while and found out she used to be a seamstress herself. She even poured me a cup of traditional Chinese tea and we spoke about her family and history. Of course, everyone who visited would have met their dog (in photograph). He is extremely friendly and lets you pat him. Overall, this is a fantastic shop with lovely people. You might have some trouble communicating if you cannot speak Mandarin though. I will definitely be coming back to engage their services!

The tailor is nice and friendly. He may be old but he is still very nimble with his hands. Sewn back the button to my pants within minutes and it cost only $1.??

Humble tailor shophouse run by a warm and honest elderly couple with a sense of humour and kind hearts :) Their rates are seriously affordable, way more than fair, and the handiwork is perfect, definitely better than some tailors we've been to at big malls. We offered to pay them more for the good work but they refused to accept. Altered a formal shirt and pants, and the uncle gave helpful suggestions that we didn't think of. Also added more holes to a leather belt. Turnaround time was short, we could collect everything in about 4 calendar days. Highly recommend! The shop is just across the road from the famous punggol nasi lemak so it won't be hard to find.

The nicest elderly tailors I’ve come across so far! I feel assured to know that my clothes will be taken care of by them, backed by decades of tailoring experience and that eye to detail. Every visit feels like I’m visiting somebody’s home and often extends into mini chit chat sessions!

I came to this shop to shorten three dresses. The elderly lady who was manning the shop was rather unfriendly towards me from the beginning and insisted that the dresses can only be shortened from the bottom and cannot be taken in at the waist or at the straps. Shortening from the bottom is not an option for one of my dresses as it has a ruffled/peplum design that would look very strange indeed if only the bottom was chopped off. Although it would definitely take more effort, the alterations that I requested definitely can be done- another tailor at Far East Plaza has tailored my dresses as per my request with no issues at all. The lady then quoted me $22 to shorten the hem of one of my dresses, a simple Love & Bravery button up dress and $15 for another H&M dress. These dresses are pretty standard office dresses and definitely no evening gowns, so I feel that the price was a little steep for a simple shortening job. In fact, I later got both these dresses done for $25 total at the Far East tailor. As such, I politely thanked her and said that as the price was a little higher than expected, I may find another tailor. The lady then scolded me for "wasting her time" and said "what did you expect, did you think it'll only cost $5?" I felt this was quite an unfair accusation as I had spent no more than 5-10mins in the shop including changing time, and there were no other customers anyway. Besides, there is no obligation for a customer to accept prices quoted. This tailor obviously has many other good reviews, so I am a little puzzled by the less than stellar customer service I received. Perhaps I am the odd one out here? There were many men's suits hanging on the walls, so perhaps this shop would be better for tailoring those instead.
