Healing takes time. In general, the quality of life slightly improved under the care of Prof. KC Tan. Wound nurse at the Treatment Room are knowledgeable and understanding. Admin staff at the counter are helpful. The Clinic is cozy with a boutique setting. Private or subsidized, consultation is strictly by appointment only.

Looks like another year of work from home for me. I don't think I can travel anytime soon until next year hopefully. Nobody wants to bring the virus back home. Last year, better late than never, saw me visited the dermatology clinic for the first time to remove 2 "growth" on my right arm. I wasn't comfortable with aliens living off me! The Consultant, Dr Oh Choon Chiat, recommended laser surgery. It was first time for me. The attendant nurse did a clean job to sanitise the affected areas. The surgeon then removed the growth on my skin by laser operation. I watched in total amazement how the laser cut off the growth so delicately and painlessly, leaving hardly any scar behind. Indeed the 2 little scars were only visible on closer examination. Fast forward to last month, I went back to the clinic to consult the same Specialist on my rather severe skin condition related to "giant comedones" or blackheads to me. The very kind receptionist/nurse had earlier helped me to book an appointment. The equally helpful lady pharmacist educated me on the different usage of aqueous cream as soap substitute and moisturising cream used after shower. Some viewers may have come across my other reviews on SINGAPORE GENERAL HOSPITAL and OUTRAM POLYCLINIC and realised that I had written nothing bad. The truth is the public healthcare system in Singapore is second to none. I write this from personal experiences. If I have to sum up my personal experiences in Singapore's public healthcare system in one word, it has to be EMPATHY absolutely. They care.

I did surgery in Vietnam and went P clinic at SGH for just cutting thread. However, when I came P clinic doctor did not treat me as a patient. While I was abit scared of painful. He showed angry face and complained with staff nurses that I did surgery in Vietnam and brought trouble for him. He also scolded me that β€œif you don’t want to do just go back to your old doctor to do”. How can doctor treat the patient like that? I paid money for see doctor but the doctor actioned like he did for free. Is it because of I am foreign? Can bully? Don’t need to respect? I have been in sg for 7 years. It was the first time I met a rude doctor and also feel bad service in sg. I am working in SGH and believed the service here. But really so so disappointed?.To be honest, the way he treated me that made me felt unsafe and unbelievable for the service here. I asked my housemate to double check if the threads were still inside. ???. Hopefully nothing wrong for me. ???. Hope every patient will get a better service and meet a kind doctor
