Lovely experience despite infusion of new deco & service team…espy., all these display of fires during Christmas Day dinner. Great food and excellent ambiance, most importantly GREAT nostalgia to see senior uncles in red vest still service signature Russian coffee.

My first time here, where was I ? Haha, busy dining all over Singapore. I must say I was blown away by their meats. We selected a few items from their festive menu, Borshch soup (one enough to share for 2) Shashlik of Beef (this a must try) Blue Fire Ribs n 220g Argentina Ribeye steak , we skipped the desserts coz nothing special to me. Service was good, ambience was cozy, didn’t order any wine though sorry, another hidden gem, spent $170 all-in, totally worth it

Located at a discrete corner in far east shopping cte, this place is a gem. The ambience in the restaurant is gorgeous with soft lighting and traditional wood style colours. Not qualified to say whether the food is Russian enough, but they are fantastic. Love the bun with butter. The borsh soup is flavourful with chewable onions n beef. The blue flame ribs is tender. Great place to visit again.

Family dinner outing at Shashlik Restaurant. Today we have shashlik of beef (medium well), New Zealand beef tenderloin 300g (medium), blue fire ribs full slab, Mac and cheese, borshch soup, onion soup and bake Alaska. Firstly, we are served with hot piping bun, this bun are still so good and we have a 2nd serving of it. The onion soup is very nice, sweet and pack a punch of onion. Borshch soup was little sourish and it's very different compared to the old Shashlik, meaning it's not as nice as before. The Shashlik of beef became well done and it's little tough, but still ok. NZ tenderloin is also a little tough, but still good, almost become medium well. The ribs are the best, rum was poured into the full slab ribs and blue flame was ignited. Tasty and juicy, total there are 12 bones! Mac and cheese, can't go wrong with this. Kid love it. Lastly, bake Alaska. Seems to have shrunk in size, good but not as good as before. I recall it was a dome shape and big portion! Service wise, very good service. Water was replenished quite promptly.

Pros: - Bun served before meal is nice and hot - Stuffed portobello mushroom with meat is surprisingly nice. Very simple dish but well seasoned and portobello mushroom is well cooked - Blue fire ribs is soft and well marinated. The charred taste from the fire adds up to the taste. - Chicken ala kiev is soft and moist. The crispy batter is think and adds up to the overall texture of the dish. - Borshch soup is a good starter which can warm up the body. - the place sets the mood for a date night. - Service is fast and people are friendly. Cons: - Baked Alaska’s meringue got burned after it was fired up. Ice cream and sponge cake is very hard.

Nice good old classy restaurant tucked in the dead shopping mall. A pity if this is gone in near future. Beard and butter was served even when we are placing our order and even with our mask on, we could smell the nice fragrant of the bread. Shashilk of beef is superb, super tender and juicy even on it’s own without any sauce. The soup are superb too. Over all experience is good. Price is slightly on the high side but definitely deserves higher than 4 star.

Went for a weekday dinner on recommendation of old-school relative. Place is admittedly off my radar but I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is western style and minimalist. Service crews were friendly and mostly older. Smart casual dress code and relaxed atmosphere. The dishes were okay and the most remarkable ones were actually our starters: Blinis Caviar and Borshch. Caviar was sitting on top of thin fluffy crepes that tasted great, Borshch is beef based with no beetroot used. The Shashlik was unremarkable albeit tender (good to try once), Blue Fire Ribs has got crispy outer layer and was actually tasty. Baked Alaska was too sweet like many other reviewers said. Place is great for date and special occasions.
