Shinjitsu Ramen - Shinjitsu Ramen

Tried the ramen before taking vaccination at Braddell Medical Clinic. Indeed very flavourful and rich with the Tonkatsu aroma. However, in personal taste might find it a bit salty. Reasonably priced at 6.90 for a restaurant-like ramen.

Sets in a nice corner of the coffee shop and charges a reasonable price for the authentic taste of good Tonkotsu broth. The young man is friendly and entertained last minute change of broth. We will definitely support again.

Ordered tonkatsu ramen. The noodle is pretty Q and nice. The soup is bland. The meat is dry and tbh quite tasteless. It’s affordable though. Definitely cannot compare with other cheap ramen that are more flavourful.

Quality ramen at affordable prices. Loved their chashu, it is flavourful and has a great texture. The broth is not overly salty as well, would suit people who prefers a lighter broth like me.

Tonkotsu Special?? ? Food wise: Egg is good, mouthful, watery and well seasoned. Ramen is quite Q. Cha shu, not too bad. Big Nori sheet. This bowl might not be suitable for me though, might need to give it another go for other flavours! But do give it a try! ✨ Ambience wise: Coffeeshop ?? Service wise: Staff friendly ? Broth has mild pork broth flavor will sliced char siu gives that porky flavor. Okay for a ramen fix if you’re eating there and priced reasonably cheap compared to ramen places. Decent priced ramen for 11.90.

Hidden in a HDB estate in Ang Mo Kio inside @johnsoneatery332amk which serves up bowls of ramen at very afforable prices. Arguably one of if not the cheapest ramen you can find anywhere in Singapore as their cheapest bowl of ramen here goes for only $5.90 that come with an entire torched chicken drumstick!! I was in total disbelief. The torched chicken drumstick is also available as add on to other ramen at just $4. Also their broth are made in-house and is boil for 15-hours. What I tried, Shinjitsu Ramen’s Tonkotsu Special (S$10.90) Come with four big pieces of sliced chashu, a giant sheet of nori, and one ajitama egg, which had been cut in half. The tonkotsu broth is smooth, rich, flavourful and not too salty. The ramen noodles soak up well of the glorious richness broth. The chashu has a delectable smokey flavour, my only gripe is that it's slightly dry but that’s just a personal preference. Shinjitsu Ramen’s Red Spicy Tonkotsu (S$8.90) Pack with a pile of spicy minced pork and three big pieces of sliced chashu. The little bits of minced meat added a nice contrast to the smooth noodles and rich broth. (Add on) Torched chicken drumstick (S$4.00) I choose to add this to my Shinjitsu Ramen’s Tonkotsu Special ramen. This large drumstick has a gorgeous sear on the outside and is fork tender soft succulent. Absolutely delicious. Pork Gyoza ($6.00). The gyozas here are handmade fresh. Generously stuffed with minced meat and spring onions, and each bite was springy and juicy with the skin being thin, slightly chewy and a lovely charred bottom. This is a champion. Grilled Squid ($6.50). Big chunk of squid. Soft and tender not jaw inducing chewy, and you can just bite through. Is amazing. Very affordable yet quality not compromise. Is really value for money, delicious for the price paid and generous in portion!

The star of Tonkatsu Special ramen is definitely the broth. 5?. Wonderfully rich bursting with meaty flavor but yet not so rich and oily to make it jilak. Ramen noodles perfectly cooked with nice bite and not clumped together. The onsen egg was also done well, soft melt in the mouth ooozze and flavor.! The ramen is let down by the Cha shu which I personally prefer to be more well seasoned, more tender and more fat. Overall 4 ? considering the price $10.90 which is good value kopitian ramen.
