This is a perfect place for fast delicious and genuine Chinese Food! Especially Xiang (Hunan) Cuisine, Chuan (Sichuan) Cuisine. There are also a number of famous and well-known homely dishes. It's a small but sophisticated restaurant worthy a visit!

Shu Liu Xiang has SO MUCH COLD DISHES! Limited seating, so most will opt for takeaway.

Service: Witnessed the staffs being unfriendly with 2 elderly customers. But her attitude towards me was ok. Waiting time very long and did not call out to collect food when I was just standing infront of the fridge while using phone. 2 other female customers had to tap my shoulder and asked me if that's my order on the cashier top. Taste: The 红油抄手 skin was so thick that the excesses could be eaten as carbs, it may be ideal for others if looking to 吃饱 but I'm really just craving to eat as a side dish. The meat filling was not marinated enough, I had to constantly dip into the chilli SOUP to taste. And yes, SOUP, it's not chilli oil like DTF kind. And the chilli not even spicy and fragrant. Price: $5 (excl. takeaway charges) I rather go Wan Xing, beside sushi express.

The name of this shop "蜀留香" is an interesting play on the word "楚留香" which is the fictional titular character for a Wuxia Novel by Gu Long portrayed by the Famous HK Actor Adam Cheng. Used in this stall's context, it also has a double meaning of "Lingering Fragrance from the Province of Shu" I am intrigued by "蜀" in the name as this suggests that the dishes here may have been from the same province in which Liu Bei and the Generals of the Shu Kingdom resided during the Three Kingdoms period? How exciting it will be to taste the dishes that Zhuge Liang himself might have tasted! (Though I doubt that is true though) Being the first time I'm here, I asked what were their specialities. The owners of this place are a pair of Chinese Couple from China who are quite shy. They recommended their noodle dishes so I selected 2 of them. Beef Noodles (红烧牛肉面) ($5) Chose this because I have had this before and is familiar with it. This is a hot and mildly spicy beef noodle soup. It's a big bowl here and is quite generous with its noodle servings. Noodles are thin and al-dente and Soup is hot and comforting. I enjoyed the beef pieces which is very soft and tender. The soup is also very delicious and slurpable. This dish looks spicy, but is only mildly spicy. If you enjoy 红烧牛肉面, you will enjoy this one. Shaanxi Cold Skin Noodles (陕西凉皮) ($4) This is the first time I'm trying this and I am pleasantly surprised. Beautifully presented, this is actually a Vegetarian Dish. It's a Cold Noodle and the Soup/Sauce has a very Sourish Vinegary taste with a Strong Taste of 老干妈 Chilli Sauce. The Noodles are flat and looked similar to Ban Mian but with a softer Bite Feel. The Dish is mildly spicy and with its generous serving of Large Beansprouts and Thin Cucumber Slices is almost like having a Salad with Noodles. There are also pieces of Gluten which I thought resembled Fishcakes that gave the dish an additional chewy bite. In fact, this dish has an exciting bite feel and combined with the Sourish Sauce makes it very 开味. I could not stop eating it. I'm most amazed that this dish didn't taste vegetarian even though it is. Impressive. In Conclusion, I really enjoyed my meal. Alternating between the Hot Beef Noodles and Cold Noodles was a really interesting experience. At the end of the meal, I couldn't help but go directly to the Chef and gave him a thumbs up who was pretty friendly and appreciated my gesture. Do give this a try if you haven't. I will be back to try more dishes in the future.
