★ ★ ★ ★ ★ CLOSED to the public - unless you book an appointment first. As I arrived the caretaker was letting other tourists out, but wouldn't let me in for even a minute even though there was no other visitor. So unfriendly. He just closed the gate promptly in my face and walked off without talking to me. This would never happen at a temple in a friendly country like Taiwan or Malaysia, or even England for that matter in a church. Why is a place of worship in Singapore so unfriendly and inhospitable?
