They have a few items for promotion and worth to order. Si Chuan Grilled Fish is one of them. For only $18 and stay away from the queue at Chinatown market which serve the same thing. Recommended to try but service is quite normal.

I used to come here very often and their Mala Fish is my number 1 favourite in Chinatown.. However, I really surprise with the "mala" fish flavour this time.. the soup used to be spicy and red kind..but it taste like curry powder now.. and worse case was a lot of PEPPER... Totally not Mala Fish.. This is feel like eating maggie mee with chicken+curry power and add a lot a lot pepper.. $18.80 for seabass Fish.. excluded service charge yet... The MeiChai KouRou is too dry...

Affordable and delicious Si chuan food. The mala 水煮鱼 had a great taste, texture and size to it for the deal (~$23 at the time). The 辣子鸡 was also very tasty. But the biggest surprise was the chili oil cabbage which was full of umami flavour and sweetness. Highly recommend

crazy good mala fish and crispy fried chicken with chilli, but the true highlight was surprisingly the stir fried cabbage with chilli. the soy sauce flavour was truly phenomenal. highly recommend.

This restaurant have one of the best laziji(辣子鸡) and their best dish was a very suprising dish that comes in the form of their Stir Fry Canbage with Dry Chili (手撕包菜). The sauce tastes amazing, the cabbage was fresh and sweet which compliments each other very well. Should also try their Sauerkraut Fish (酸菜鱼) for the umami soup. However you must beware that all their dishes are very oily so best to eat with rice and beer, or maybe can request to halve the oil used for all dishes (not sure if can).

Food Taste: 5⭐ (Good) Food Quality: 5⭐(Fresh) Price: 4⭐(Not the cheapest but with the promotion purchase above $38 + fave pay cashback, affordable) Recommended: 水煮鱼(麻,香,辣,绝) Dishes 辣子鸡, 地三鲜(有锅气) ...........................京酱肉丝(香而不腻) Serving: 5⭐ (Generous portion, value for money) Ambience: 3⭐(Shop a bit small and cramp as the shop always full house) Waiting time: 3⭐( Need to wait for min 20mins during peak hour) Service: 4⭐(I read the lowest rating of the review and realised people complained 3 mths ago, probably complaint addressed to the same staff. But I never encountered such experience, there are a few staff very friendly, the rest also not behaving rude to customers. I am a regular customer from 东北人家,eating their BBQ skewers, and one day I wanted to try something different, so I walked into this restaurant beside it. It didn't take the ordering process and serving process too long on a weekday 5pm. I ordered a 水煮鱼,京酱肉丝,干煸四季豆in order to meet the $38 requirement so that I get to order one of the dish from the special price menu, and I ordered 辣子鸡@$5 The presentation of the dishes was very colorful and appetizing and with big portion. Good for a family of 3 to 4. The 水煮鱼is really the highlight, the fish was not just tender, juicy, spicy and麻, but also very flavorful. I like the辣子鸡also, probably also their signature dish, it was crispy and tasty. The 京酱肉丝also another surprise for me. I have tried many types of 京酱肉丝from different places incl lao beijing, most of them using the black bean sauce which the whole dish I can only taste the strong black bean sauce, nothing else. But here they use slightly different sauce and with the combination of the leek and cucumber, it tasted so good, I do not know how they prepare the cucumber, somehow was tastier than those we buy from supermarket. Another day I also tried their 宫保鸡丁, 地三鲜and鱼香茄子,宫保鸡丁is deep fried chicken instead of stir fried, 鱼香茄子was a bit too sour and not to my liking, the 地三鲜was really good though...with the wok hei?? I didn't expect to be able to taste some authentic Sichuan dishes in Singapore other than those premium price restaurant, and this place is really a hidden gem in Chinatown. Will continue to petrol this shop to try out different dishes.

They weren’t kidding about the “Ma” in mala! Everything tastes great and surprisingly wasn’t as salty as I thought! LOVE the pork slices and egg and it’s so good! Would love to come back again ❤️
