★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First came to this club as I was looking for a toastmasters club to join and improve my public speaking skills. Went to a couple of CC clubs near where i lived but i was not impressed. Almost going to give up, then someone approached myself and invited me to SIM 1.
SIM 1 gave me the impression that they are professional, and the standard is there. Everyone dressed appropriately, formal work wear, instead of shorts and slippers.
Their standard of speaking skills are impressive too. Warm and welcoming, as well as holding up the standards.
Now I'm not saying you cannot be casual, sure you can. What i meant was, you have to decide what are your objectives. If you wanna mix with professionals with corporate experiences to share, this is the herd you wanna mix with.
