Simply delicious food. We really enjoyed the taste of every single dish from the acar to the fish head curry. Very attentive and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

The best Peranakan food you get is always from someone’s grandma’s kitchen. This is someone’s grandma’s kitchen. The dishes were all interpreted in excruciating detail, like a kebayA. Would come back! (But service here is homely - if you want usual service and want to pay the price, you know where to go, and the food won’t taste as unique)

Amazing discovery of this underrated Peranankan Restaurant located in Orchard. Starting from the friendly and responsive reservation via the owner's mobile to the presentation of the place and the taste of the food were "simply" awesome. Food were authentic, homecooked taste and delicious. We had such a beautiful afternoon with our elderlies and young kids. Kudos to the lady, chef, uncle server and waitress. Highly recommended! Reservation was made via WhatsApp and was told only 1 chef so need to pre-order the dishes and hence we did. On the day of dine-in, the staff couldn’t find our reservation until we provide the WhatsApp as proof. Before us, one big bus of tourist were spotted leaving the restaurant. Table wasn’t ready till 15mins later. We found bit and pieces of prawn shells and rice on the table cloth, stain on the crockery, beers cans under our table… staff changed table cloth after we told her. Dishes weren’t up to mark compared to so many other Peranakan restaurants we have patronised. Not sure why past reviews were given so high but we are certain we won’t be going back and won’t recommend

Wonderful food at this small, friendly restaurant located just off Singapore's famous Orchard Road. Reservation is done via WhatsApp, followed by pre-order of your dishes. We had to bring forward our reservation by 24 hours because of an unexpected family engagement, no problem at all. Even when we arrived a little earlier than our reservation, also no problem. No fuss and flexible. Food is delicious and tasty. Black pepper prawn was a standout, fresh, tasty, crunchy and large prawns. The sambal pomfret was beautifully fried, (so easy to overcook this dish but this was perfect) smothered in a fantastically spicy sauce. The Bakwan kepiting soup was restorative, a rich, clear salty broth with punchy ginger plus soft pork meatballs with the perfect bite. And our mutton rendang was so tasty, on the bone with gorgeous lemongrass flavours to the fore of this mildly spiced curry dish. Shireen is so modest and friendly, you really do feel like you're going into a friend's house for dinner. Highly recommended. Tip, on our visit their card machine wasn't working, so helpful if you have cash to pay.

Had a delightful lunch at the restaurant. We ordered Nyonya Chap Chye which tasted a bit bland, Sambal Petai with silver fish, yummy Ngoh Hiang with chunky water chestnut ?? , soft & tender Beef Rendang?? and the Babi ponteh which too lean for our liking but still ??. Appreciate that they are willing to accommodate us even though we did not have a reservation as they are not serving lunch.... with only one service staff and a chef catering to their VIP guests today. Would suggest you call to check before heading down for lunch. Overall experience ???
