โ โ โ โ โ Food 4/5 Service 1/5 Didnโt enjoy the experience tonight. We got there a bit earlier. 815pm instead of 830pm. I was chased out although there was no one in the restaurant. This I can understand and I said I will come back at 830pm. I brought a bottle of red and I asked politely if I could just leave it at the counter but was told to take it with me. Had half a mind to just walk off but 1. I wasnโt sure if I had paid a deposit and 2. It is so hard to get a booking here. In the end, we just hung around outside and waited till 830pm. Chef wasnโt too pleased that I had brought my own bottle and insisted that we each had to buy 1 drink at least on top of the corkage that I was gonna pay for my bottle. He finally uncorked my bottle of wine after we ordered a drink each. Anyway, food was pretty decent but nothing to wow about but the service just spoilt the whole experience. #hippofeeds @bistrotetroit #bistrotetroit

โ โ โ โ โ A one man operated Japanese/French restaurant hidden at one corner of Orchard plaza. My personal dining experience at this restaurant was a pleasant one. Chef Doi did spoke to us and even made some small jokes. He gladly explained why some of the dishes were named that way etc when we asked him about it. Foodwise, good quality ingredients and taste good too especially the brioche.โก
They're impacted by Covid-19 too hence it's hard to secure a reservation. Each seating can only take up to 5 pax for safe distancing measures. Unlike some bigger restaurants with the capability and capacity of hiring more headcounts, it's tough to run a restaurant solo. I'm satisfied if my food is well served up to expectations, money well spent then.
Now moving back into Phase 2, they offer take outs too. No delivery service. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON THE BRIOCHE?

โ โ โ โ โ We had a wonderful experience at Bistrot รtroit.
Price is very reasonable for the quality of the ingredients and quality of preparation. Every dish was perfectly executed.
The place is super cosy and intimate, perfect for a date. Chef was very friendly and always happy to share how he prepares some of the dishes and desserts. You can clearly feel all the passion and hard work.

โ โ โ โ โ -Good value Omakase, every dish was a delight with good flavours. Some variation on the fishes you get as they are seasonal.
-As pointed out per previous reviews, service is cold and minimal. At a minimum there must be clear explanation of the dishes served.
-overall definitely recommend a try if you can book month(s) in advance.

โ โ โ โ โ Truly a wonderful dining experience and without a doubt one of the best french restaurants in Singapore. Great value omakase and you get a front row seat to the passion, finesse, culinary skills on display from the chef.
I see a few negative reviews on the chef being cold and not giving much of a service, we thought the service was brilliant and the chef was genuinely trying his best for us to have a great dining experience. It's a 6-8 seater restaurant and yes it's great value omakase but do be mindful that this restaurant uses very good ingredients, great fine dining quality cooking but they also expect you to spend something on alcohol which is not mandatory but that's just the way they make money. I think if you go in with that expectation and spend in that manner you are supporting the business in the right manner and keeping the business thriving and most probably gonna walk out of the restaurant with a good experience.

โ โ โ โ โ Been here a few times and always enjoy my time here. It just takes quick internet, fast fingers and some luck to get a seat. Love the intimate vibes and just watching Chef Doi skilfully preparing the dishes, heโs so focused in his work that some may misunderstand his demeanour. A place that I would recommend highly to experience if you have not been before. P.S the foie gras terrine is a must-try!!
