staff is rude and Trainer E is super rude. It is always very very difficult to get common information about progression.
With such manner and quality, it is shame to the official vision and goal. "Nurture, Promote and Sustain a thriving Chess Community, Aspiring and Achieving Sports Excellence for Singapore"

β β β β β I recently interacted via email with SCF (i.e., someone in senior leadership no less) and my general impression of the current SCF is: rude, unwelcoming, arrogant. It must be challenging to promote chess in SG with this sort of attitude. Had much better experience with SCF decades ago. Sad to see that this is what it has evolved into.

In the recently organized chess masters tournament, the schedule is rich, the participants are extensive, and the masters are gathered, providing chess players and professionals of all levels with opportunities to communicate and learn.

β β β β β The trainer including the customer service ppl are all rude and not responsible. I had sent my child for holiday course. From the 1st lesson she just told me she do not like the trainer. Cause the trainer said she is blurβ¦.. For different stage the trainer are not Chinese and very young. They do not have sufficient experience and patience as well. Not a good experience. Not recommend for your younger one to go at all !!! They will completely let your kids lost their interest of chess at all!!! Very bad experience!

β β β β β Progressive chess attitude, pulled off a massive SGChess festival successfully. Importantly the federation is encouraging lot of rated tournaments and events which gives ample opportunities to young beginners to learn and play chess. The chess scene is buzzing in Singapore at the moment!

This is the biggest treat and event for chess lovers with a spectrum of chess activities for everyone to devour. β β β β β Very good place to play rated chess games against other chess players. The coach is very understanding, and everyone enjoys the lesson. I am in HP-I and everyone can make friends with each other almost immediately after getting to know each other. After two years in it, my chess skills have really grown, making my chess rating grow to 1094, and I definitely have room for improvement!
