Singapore Conference Hall - 7 Shenton Way

The concert hall closed for the whole of last year. But there wad nothing impressive about the renovations. Quite disappointed. SCO still puts up good quality concerts nonetheless.

Beautiful place. 1st time being there with family. Really enjoyed every minute of the concert. So much vibe, so much life

Very good for all the chinese performance clean and cold air con too

It was my first time at the SCH with a friend. We entered the building through the front glass doors. (with SafeEntry scanned) - Security woman (see attached photo below) was extremely rude towards us. We were taking photos of the staircases when we were shouted at in a horrible and interrogative tone: “Where you come from?” Before we could provide any answers, we were accused of trespassing. “Cannot go up second floor!” “This building close, no outside people allowed” The phrase (in an interrogative tone) “Where you come from?” was rudely repeated several times to which I politely replied “We’re guests that came from “outside”” We were absolutely taken aback from the type of response that was given to us. She then proceed to chase us out with a horrible attitude, walking in front of us to the exit. However, as we proceed to the door, she did not bother to hold the door for a brief moment so that i could take over and exit the place with my friend (since she was walking in front of us) We were rudely ignored as we left the building. I do understand if one’s command of english is not there but to speak in such a manner was totally uncalled for and especially towards members of the public who were genuinely interested in visiting the place. This was my first time visiting SCH but unfortunately the poor treatment to their guests will deter me from visiting this place anymore until further measures are taken to ensure guests of SCH are treated properly. Extremely disappointed in the security management and will not recommend one to visit this place should they be disregarded and treated poorly like this. Please reconsider the type of security personnel mending the place if the point of the place was to INVITE guests in and not to telling guests to STAY AWAY from this place. + Lovely interior architecture, angular structures and overall clean aesthetic. Particularly enjoyed the big drum placed in the center of the lobby. Benches were also thoroughly provided through the first floor lobby. I’ve also noticed a BianZhong? On the top most floor and wanted to give it a look before i was rudely interrupted and thrown out by the security personnel. Pity.

Came here for the Singapore Chinese Orchestra performance. Place also happens to be home to the SCO. Quite a spacious hall in the third floor. Seem to be a lack of escalator here so stairs is the way to go. Short walking distance from Tanjong Pagar MRT. Bring jacket if you're scared of cold. There are vending machines in the lobby area.

I enjoyed the solo piano recital at SCH, which is located within walking distance from the Tanjong Pagar mrt station. The sound system was able to support the brilliant performance by the pianist - the high notes were bright and clear, changes in dynamics were sharply displayed to audience sitting at the back rows. Of course the brand of the grand piano played its part in delivering the well- balanced tones. The only comment I have is the narrow space between the rows of seats. It was a challenge to manoeuvre pass occupied seats.

Singapore Conference Hall is where Singapore Youth Festivals and many concerts are held. It's a place where it holds many memories and promoting Chinese Orchestra Music. #ILoveSingaporeConferenceHall

Home of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, the Singapore Conference Hall is a 820+ multilevel seating auditorium that has great sound system and facilities since it’s renovation. One can booked the place for different functions like musical performance or school graduation events, like Dayspring pre school which has been using thus magnificent facilities for many years.
