This local gem is located just across the road from Novena Church. Sinn Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice serves up the local favourite Chicken Rice. Read a couple of favourable reviews online and decided to drop by for a visit. The reviews were not wrong and the meal was excellent. The chicken was done to perfection and it had that elusive jelly-like feel to the skin which paired really well with the fragrant rice. The chicken rice here easly wins those served at Tian Tian and Margret Drive (Sin Kee) Famous Cantonese Chicken Rice. Sinn Ji is a place worth revisiting again and again. One of the best Chicken rice we like since we arrived in Singapore. I highly recommend coming here. The chicken is delicious as well as the rice. We haven't come for long time and it was not busy today (Sunday, 1:00 pm). The decoration is very basic but you can enjoy a free wifi. Just ask for the password. Halal Hainanese Chicken Rice restaurant. Authentic tasty chicken rice at a reasonable price. The hot chrysanthemum tea was so refreshing. The service staff was friendly and helpful. ??????

Both regular and roast chicken were incredibly soft and tender! The most tender I've ever had. The rice is mildly flavored but it pairs great with the chicken oil, black sauce and chilli. Their soup is also very fragrant. It is one of the best chicken rice.

The white chicken melts in your mouth, vegetables were crunchy and rice was fragrant. The chicken soup is thick and flavourful as well. The Thai tofu was Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I ordered the 2 person set and its definitely one of the chicken rice places worth coming back again.

Refer to my pictures. No toilet in restaurant as it's located in the mall, just nearby the entrance. 2 servers were professional, attentive and fast. They deserved a raise! ? Not too crowded maybe due to the current construction works going on around the area. Expect slightly longer waiting time during peak hours. Definitely coming back again to try other things on their menu. PS: This is not a paid review. Just honest feedback. They deserved it.

We had a wonderful Poached Chicken Rice here - we had the 2 person set meal and it was certainly more than enough for us. Do order the chicken gizzard as it was satisfyingly crunchy and flavourful. If you’re alone, just get the 1 person set meal as the Kailan goes well with the chicken rice. The Tofu while good (crunchy outside, soft inside) can be skipped. There was no halal cert displayed, but a quick check on MUIS website confirms that this establishment is Halal Certified.

Pretty good Hainanese chicken rice that is comparable to the more established chains. The chicken has a nice texture, and rice has a good flavour. The other dishes like Thai tofu is nicely done and good value. Seating is no frills but staff service is friendly and efficient.
